Bit of a plan happening..

This week - Mitchell > Mayes
Next week - McBean > Gawn
                  - Stevenson > Docherty
Week after - Blicavs > Premium

What do people think? Sound good

Ringo

Mitchell to Mayes is probably the best this week.

Also watch to see if Caff is named if not look at trading him as I think he will be in and out of Pies team with a number of their stars coming back so probably time to cash in on him.  If he is named I would do the McBean trade to allow you to have 2 up your sleeve for next week. I would consider Daw over Gawn personally but go with gut both priced the same.

Keep an eye on Thomas used as sub first week back so price may drop to enable you to bring him in to your forward line.

Are you not trading McBean this week so you can have someone for the VC loophole?

If not im not too sure why you dont go KMitchell to Evans and then McBean to Mayes this week and then go Stevenson to Docherty and Blicavs to Gawn next week.

Guys like Viney, Neade, Stevenson and Pittard are getting close to their top

felsty

Still think blicavs, stevenson, etc. has some growing to do but will be upgraded first I think. Evans doesn't excite me at all but ill probably have a look at him.. Will rise quickly for now. The sooner I get those blokes in the sooner they will start making money hey!

Round 5

Score: 2256

B: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Stevenson, Goodes, Heath (Pittard, Terlich)
M: Ablett, Pendlebury, JPKennedy, Watson, Dangerfield, Wines, O'Meara, Evans (Viney, Crouch)
R: Jacobs, Luenberger (Blicavs, Rowe)
F: Franklin, Cox, Rockliff, JJKennedy, Dwyer, Mayes (Macaffer, Neade)

Had an alright week compared to my last couple, but bad rookie picks have cost me
im down to 24 trades and looking to upgrade this week..

Blicavs > Gawn
Dwyer > Stevie J

seems like the most likely option, both Dwyer and Blicavs have hit the wall somewhat and should be pushed out by players returning to both sides. Stevie J has been thereabouts since he started up but fired on the weekend and looks to be a top 6 fwd by the end of the year. Gawn also travelling well with a breakeven of less then -90

felsty

okay so the plan for this week was stated above (Blicavs, Dwyer > Gawn, Stevie J) but because of the carnage I am thinking of doing a double downgrade and waiting a week for stevie.. my theory is that Dwyer is up against St.Kilda and i think that he could feast a little with Collingwood fired up, and if i downgrade Pittard > Docherty who is up against Sydney, the ball should be down back for a lot of the night, which hopefully brings about a good score, which he has shown he can do in his two games.

Pittard + S.Johnson = 110-120?
Dwyer + Docherty = 120 at the very least

That way im still making the money but not missing out on too many points
FF Genie has Stevie J only going up $20k or so, and I know you cant trust these things as he is more than likely to bust out a 160 again, but I should be able to cover that, especially with Neade $20k or so above Dwyer and on a smaller break even..

What do people think?

1. go for the double downgrade and stash the cash
2. go for the Stevie J upgrade like I had originally planned
3. upgrade Pittard to a defender and grab Stevie J at a later date

Capper

I have actually done the same thing but instead of Docherty i have gone for Laird (as long as he is picked). Docherty getting the green vest last week has put me off him.

felsty

even though he got 22 points in a quarter and 86 the week before? all I care about is the JS and I think docherty will be hard to push out of the side..

True but he is playing the Swans at the SCG where DT points wont be big

felsty

#12 pick year before last and being entrenched in the backline I think he should score fine against the swans with the ball down there all night. Regardless I think I'm going to upgrade Pittard to Hartlett and let it be.. Hopefully I can jump on Stevie J still the week after. Hopefully!

so currently going with the blicavs > gawn, pittard > hartlett plan due to me wanting to use my money for points as well as trying to avoid a donut.. really wanted to get stevie j in and by my calculations he may be just out of reach next week, depending on how well he goes, which could be a shame. ill play around with the team though and see if there is a possibility of getting him in...

blicavs > gawn
pittard > hartlett

solid trades?

tor01doc

Excellent trades.

I think they will be the same as mine but I will be forced to hang onto Tex and his frayed ACL for another week to avoid the donut.

SJ next week.

Donnie Brasco

Looking good Felsty, I think you've sold me on Hartlett.

felsty

You can say he has played easy teams but facts are facts.. He has scored big 100+ games against two top teams in Adelaide and West Coast, who aren't in the best of form but still a force to be reckoned with. Any defender running through the guts is going to be smashing points out as opposed to Shaw and running defenders like him. Birchall has smashed that trend so far, not saying that Shaw won't score well, they are just more susceptible to those 60-70 point games
