the wait for teams announcement... possibly my favourite time of the week :)

in terms of trades its not a big deal, but the fact i might get Gibbs and Stevie J back with no other premiums going out could mean that i have finally had a full team of premiums playing for me, which will be crucial in getting me up the rankings..

As Stevo isnt named and wont lose you any cash i would go Heath to Thurlow and Mayes to Spanger (If he makes the final 22)

Spangher wont last long in the hawks side im sure and webster and thurlow seem to be the rookies to get

i see where youre coming from though and spanger will be looked at if he is still playing on the bubble

the thing with mayes is im keeping him as a round 11 bye player during the bye rounds, and then probably upgrading him to swan after round 13

Now that Luenberger is out its a no brainer to go straight to NicNat, leaving me with just over $200k left

Here is the plan...,

Im looking to go Birchall and Hanley into my side straight after Round 11 and need the cash to do this.. will definitely be two of Terlich, Macaffer or Viney. Probably Macaffer and Terlich because Viney wont have the $$ but I need the money to help me do this

after this round Hannath/Gawn > Gorringe is a no brainer gaining me about $100k which leaves me with $300k
and could look at rookies on the bubble at this point as well to gain more cash

then after round 11..

Evans > Hvorat, Terlich > Hanley, Macaffer > Birchall (should have just enough money to be able to do this)

then after round 12..

OMeara > Selwood
Mayes > Rookie/Bartel?
another downgrade if possible?

then after round 13 ill jump on Swanny and Shaw in the backline to finish my team off if possible

few questions.. worthwhile going Colquhoun this week or not really worth it? would give me a good link to the backs if i traded Viney or Crouch down to him and would allow Goodes into my midfield, also the more $$$ the better over the byes!

If you were going to get rid of Hannath or Gawn then i would move Rowe but to the ruck so that you have the DPP between Rowe and Cox.

Evans is also close to his top in cash making, has a BE of 61 and plays Hawthorn this weekend

Luey > NicNat allows me to do that anyway.. Then I could upgrade Hannath to a premium ruck when he tops up and the link will still be there ;)

Evans > Colquhoun could be an option this week.. Just not sure whether Colquhoun is worth it? Makes it hard with two non playing rookies on my midfield bench

with a few mid rookie options popping up, hvorat martin mitchell morabito, i think ill pass on picking up colquhoun this week and just do the straight swap Luey > NicNat

If Terlich doesnt come up, i may upgrade him to Hanley..

sounds good man, im looking at Hanley after his bye round, picking up H.Taylor this week, nice soft draw coming up in the second half of the year and could put out some nice scores

yeah not a bad idea.. how is he tracking? i dont like getting hanley in before his byes but i can afford to with my lack of round 11 players in my team

i think from memory hes pulled 3 tonnes in a row with 136 last weekend so has a BE of 70ish....GCS and GWS next two weeks and a host of games at Cats home ground in the back end of the season, i reckon he will average pretty well in the run home from here so i'm jumping on for nice little POD.....just a thought for ya

EDIT: i was wrong bout the 3 successive tonnes haha, has the odd quiet game which most defenders do but has a decent ceiling aswell

Have gone Luenberger > NicNat and Mayes > Birchall

Was forced into moving on Mayes so I didn't have to cop a donut with him, Rowe and Rockliff all out.. I'm not too disappointed about picking up Birchall now. Wanted him after Round 11 but has Demons this week and I don't have many Round 11 backline players so should work out alright..

What do people think?

Birchall or Hanley?

Will Birchall get a chance to score if he doesn't see the ball?

Hanley seems slightly steadier just now.

Birchall has a really high BE - will be a lot cheaper in a few weeks. Of his 8 matches, 4 scores over 80.

Hanley BE gettable and 7/8 scores over 80.

Birchall seems cheap but will get cheaper.

Hanley seems expensive but he warrants the price tag looking at his scores.

Could Goodes make way for Hanley - bye friendly and he won't make much more for you.
