M: Ablett, Pendlebury, Watson, JPKennedy, Dangerfield, Wines, O'Meara, Viney (Evans, Crouch)
R: Jacobs, Luenberger (Gawn, Rowe)
F: Franklin, Cox, JJKennedy, Rockliff, Mayes, Macaffer (Neade, Dwyer)

$55k remaining

bad week, dont wanna talk about it..

TRADE OPTIONS

Heath > Docherty, Laird, Vlastuin, Saunders

think this is a must to make some cash, the next trade is somewhat harder to make..

Wines > Steve Johnson

Dwyer > Dale Thomas

im leaning toward the steve johnson option, just because i can see stevie outscoring daisy from here on in til the end of the season, wines still has a little coin to make while dwyer doesnt though, so its a hard decision

either way next week i can see myself going dwyer/wines > lonergan and stashing the cash, decisions decisions...

anyone care to help out?

You can say he has played easy teams but facts are facts.. He has scored big 100+ games against two top teams in Adelaide and West Coast, who aren't in the best of form but still a force to be reckoned with. Any defender running through the guts is going to be smashing points out as opposed to Shaw and running defenders like him. Birchall has smashed that trend so far, not saying that Shaw won't score well, they are just more susceptible to those 60-70 point games

Join the long list of Hartlett haters!! No, he'll be OK.

Shaw this week I reckon.

tor01doc

Your team looks fine.

I wonder about Jacobs' long term prognosis.

Would you consider Jacobs out, Cox to R1 and then get SJ?

Can you afford that?

A single trade would be better as the rest of your guys can still make money for a week or 2.

felsty

Hmm.. I hadn't though of that..
Means trading out premiums though which I really am against, Crows play GWS and saints coming up so I would imagine he would go okay against them..

tor01doc

I would love to do it but have Walker to go and I need another premium defender since I guessed Gibbs would be a waste on the pine and especially with a high BE.

So in came Hartlett!  ::)

Shaw is better value and a higher priority for me than Daisy since I am relying on 2 Port rookies still.

Or you could do

OUT Neade and Dwyer

Move Rowe forward

IN Daisy and Hannath.

felsty

I still think Stevie J is a much better prospect than Daisy. A lot more consistent and will be a top 6 fwd. getting out Wines now instead of later only let's me miss $20k or so in price rises so its no biggie in that respect..

tor01doc

Agree SJ > Daisy.

It's just a matter of $$ I think.

felsty

well i can either do dwyer > daisy or wines > sj and the remaining money to take out of wines wont really make a difference unless he pulls out a huge score which isnt likely on the trend he is on atm imho..

regardless dwyer/wines will become lonergan next week.. dont let the freo game fool you, the kid got 114 sc points first game back in neafl and jumped straight into the senior team. has a body made for afl and will score well! my other trade would prob be whichever other rookies down back are on the bubble or staker if i have to, then hello selwood/cotchin/birchall etc in the two weeks after that!

felsty

well quietly shat myself as i watched the teams came in from my late night tutorial but got home and had a look and found a very good option for myself..

Dwyer > Hannath
Wines > Stevie J

leaves me with $11,100 cash but next week is a double downgrade..

Heath > Docherty/Colqhoun/whoever?
Neade > Lonergan?

week after i have my eye on Selwood or Cotchin and hopefully have enough money to grab Birchall/Hanley the week after that

felsty

Round 7 Update - scored 2270

pretty good week and one which was sorely needed..

B: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Hartlett, Goodes, Stevenson (Terlich, Heath)
M: Ablett, Pendlebury, Watson, JPKennedy, Dangerfield, O'Meara, Viney, Crouch (Evans, Neade)
R: Jacobs, Luenberger (Hannath, Gawn)
F: Franklin, Cox, Stevie J, JJKennedy, Rockliff, Mayes (Macaffer, Rowe)

$11,100 remaining

I have some issues that need to be attended to.. downgrades? The one in the reds are major rookies that have maxed out and need to be traded, but im not sure to. lonergan was always an option but has shown very little in his two games.. options down back include docherty if named or could possibly go vlastuin if he hasnt gained too much in price, laird? colquhoun? would love to get Hanley in if possible.. but just dont think i have the $$

felsty

CASH GENERATION!!

only have 11k in the kitty and want to try and get birchall/hanley and cotchin at least before the byes

blokes im looking at downgrading - Heath, Stevenson, Neade,

but who to go to..                       - Docherty, Sieramikewazowski, Bennedy, Loners
                                                 - or jump early at Colq or Thurlow? could throw the Staker knifes in this category too..

Im a bit troubled by this.. might just have to wait to see who gets named but I am really hoping docherty gets a gig

HELP!

Donnie Brasco

I like the Staker talk Felsty and I'm with you on Docherty, I put him in a few weeks ago and Vossy has killed me ever since!

felsty

im warming to the idea of bringing in Vlastuin as well.. Round 11 bye and looks comfortable in my mids.. the only issue is the paying the extra $100k for him, but with a 100 rolling around in his average for 2 more weeks and melbourne coming up i think he is a relatively safe bet..

opposed to this idea? think i have missed the boat?

felsty

with Fasolo and now Thomas possibly going down i think Kennedy's JS is looking a heeluvalot better!
Still unsure about these backline rookies though.. Docherty, Sierakowski? or should I go for Thurlow or Colqhoun a week early??

I said before I was tossing up the idea of getting Vlastuin in but I can't help but feel that that extra $100k will come in handy over the bye rounds coming up and getting my team right for them

felsty

B: Goddard, Heppell, Hartlett, Goodes, Terlich , STEVENSON (Gibbs, Heath)
M: Ablett, Pendlebury, Watson, JPKennedy, Dangerfield, OMeara, Evans, NEADE (Viney, Crouch)
R: Jacobs, Luenberger (Hannath, Gawn)
F: Franklin, Cox, JJKennedy, Rockliff, Stevie J, Mayes (Rowe, Macaffer)

$11k in the kitty

Trades - this round - Stevenson > Staker, Neade > Kennedy
            - next round - Heath > Thurlow, Mayes > Birchall
            - round after - Hannath > NicNat, Evans/OMeara out?

What do people think? Chosen Staker over Thurlow purely for JS reasons and think Kennedy and Lonergan are on somewhat on an even keel in scoring potential and JS, but with greater flexibility through DPP
