Is it stupid of me not to trade a couple of my players that didn't score well such as crouch, zorko or macaffer. I went into the round thinking i would keep pretty much the same team for the first three weeks with maybe 1 or 2 slight changes but everyone keeps talking about so many changes. Just curious to see what everyone else thought.

I would hold fire on that, invariably trading after the first round leads to regret later on when your down to your last few trades and need to replace that injured/suspended player late in the season and you look over and see the one(s) you traded out early days have found form and are doing really well.

Crouch might play this week, Zorko is a gun and will come good, and Macaffer's break even was only 24 so he's still making you money.

I'm usually one who is calm and holds off. But for some reason I left Pendelbury out. I could have afforded him and went with Ablett, Kennedy, Cotchin and Danger. Now if Danger stinks again next week Pendles might come in haha. But I'm sure Danger will smash it, same with Zorko who I also have.

Should I trade out Harper and Daniel rich as both stunk up the field for me or wait one more week.

PowWow

I'd be waiting a week mate, no one is losing any value yet so no need to jump into trades, surely Rich will bounce back. Not sure who Roos are playing but Harper might do the same.

Only trade LTI's this week.

Only exception is if you have missed out on all the good rookies and you need more than 2 weeks of trades to get them in before their prices skyrocket.

Keep in mind that we have an extra 6 trades this year, so each trade is far less valuable that it was previously.

That said the potential regret of ditching someone after 1 round only for them to beast it up subsequent is too scary. Jack Watts will probably get a reprieve this week...

i agree with doc, a lot of the "talk" of trading you will see is DT related with 2 trades a week nothing to lose.

30 for SC is still just barely enough through the byes and the injuries and resting of players in late rounds.

use them wisely, generally don't sideways trade rooks or premiums.

only use early trades to get on or off a rook you got wrong.

maybe grab a midpricer who is looking like a must which in turn then allows you to get off a premium who is looking shakey or injured...

e.g - i woudnt trade robbo sideways but if you don't have jjkennedy it might be a good move leaving plenty of cash for your first round of upgrades..

just an example tho still not sure i would do it just saying...

Most of the past SC winners have had something in common...aggressive trading.

I will most likely be trading this round.

Watts will be out, cannot handle a tag and will not learn with his mentality of being a soft player when it comes to contested ball.

Most likely my trade this week will be:

Watts --------> JJKennedy

smart trade (a must even). i have more faith in watts than most but wouldn't want in my SC team... YET

still he could be loose next round and score 120 but seeing what he gave you this week the risk of him dishing that up again has to be too much risk?
