Affliction

Considering the below currently

Bolton --> Martin/Wright?
Harper (F7) --> Neade
Longer --> Leuenberger

Leaning towards just the last one for now and waiting one more week for the 1st two.....or.... i'll probably panic come fri arvo and pull the trigger on two of the trades

tbagrocks

Ablett will over take Swan's price soon enough, will hold, but need a Heppell, Danger and Fyfe to fire real soon

Swan will be number 1 average again this season  ;)

thinking Beams down to Moloney and Daw up to Goldstein to avoid having Blicavs on the field again..
Mids will then be at Swan, Pendles, A Swallow, JPK, Moloney, Wines, Viney, O'Meara..
Is it stupid to go with only 4 premo mids?

if Beams doesnt play again / not named or you don't trust the team even if he is named (dirty sneeky late withdrawls)

moloney is a good scoring cashcow.

with the first 4 you have and the rooks you have i don't think it is a bad idea at all, and given the difference a premo ruck can score over blicavs i think the gain in the ruck would make up for the loss from an ELITE mid down to moloney.

plus moloney will make you a ton of cash pretty fast so he can be upgraded to elite pretty quick for a nice profit, while you get a ruck keeper if you are lucky enough to choose one that doesnt get injured (rucks sigh)

Swan to Ablett is a stupid trade. Swan and Ablett are untouchables in my team meaning once they are there they never leave. I started both this year so I wouldn't have to trade the other out. But do you know which one I choose before I brought in the other??? Swanny, I'd pick Swan over Ablett 9/10 times... Don't do that trade you will most likely regret it. I myself hate Scooter had him last year and he was a pain, occasional 110-130 scores mostly 60-90 and 140+ & 150+ at the beginning of the season, but if you were willing to go Dangerfield I don't see why you'd have a problem with Scooter. They are literally the same player DT wise just Dangerfield is a little better

If Leunburger comes in though, i could go Beams->Mundy and Daw up to Burger..
Mundy+Burger v. Moloney+Goldstein?

scooter could be elite, probably already is, but every time the eagles get towelled up by a gun mid you have to know they are going to put scooter on him in a tagging role - he is the best they have, and while he is a good ball winner and clearance player they have enough of those but when they need a tagger...... they have him :)

shame for him, one day i reckon he will give them an ultimatum let me be a gun and not tag or im out of here...

maybe he is more team orientated than that - or at least premiership orientated....  but it must be frustrating for him.

@luke.clancy4 - i like mundy and burger

but goldy is far safer than burger at this early stage but at least moloney will be a success for you as a cash cow if nothing else.

if mundy goes average you have to trade him out again and gain nothing by having had him.

goldy is SC gold but he has DT stinkers, still a lot of rucks do and he has proven he has a high ceiling and can average elite over a season.  think currie is only there to motivate him, goldy the clear #1 with Daw the best option to come in to pinch hit/ play fwd.

apparently both were impressive at VFL level this week but goldy beat jolly this week that isn't as easy as it may seem ;)

@Colliwobblers. Good call. I could even go Fyfe over Mundy but im not too sure how much i trust him with tags+injuries

i don't know which is better to be honest, everyone was tossing up between Mundy and Fyfe all preseason, I took Fyfe at M5 in SC

but then Barlow goes and sticks his hand up last week and in BT fashion says "WHAT ABOUT ME"

so there are 3 :)

Is Scooter worth keeping? Swan to Ablett?
caught a couple of fish with that one tbag.

Might go with Priddis over Mundy/Fyfe

priddis is ok but kerr will be back soon too and embley will play full games, priddis is in and under tho so probably the main clearance mid with shuey?

never had priddis in DT, maybe ask ELE :)  (elephants) he is all things west coast

maybe a tiny bit but i wouldnt think so lecras plays a very different role and while he goes fwd and is a target fwd, wouldn't think he would take many goals of kennedy doesnt exactly work like that.

he played quite a bit through the middle too last round so even more so i wouldnt expect a huge change.

nicnat coming in will change things a bit but you have to remember kennedy kicked a ton of goals in a season with bot hcox and nicnat and cuestick (lynch) all in the side.
