Well, not a bad starting team, but shower trading has meant I'm now ranked 8k overall - my lowest ranking since early 2011. :(

Current team:

Already locking in the Westhoff to Stevie J trade as the Hoff will drop at least 25k this week and SJ has a 68 B/E with an easy run heading into the byes.

Then I'm thinking of going one of Goodes/Pittard to Laird to free up some cash and get in Birch next week... thoughts?

PowerBug

Westhoff --> Stevie J
Goodes --> Laird

Is what i'd do in your position :) Solid side.

Cheers PB, ended up going Westhoff --> Stevie J & Gibbs --> Hartlett. :)

Windigo

Always knew Hoff wasn't worth it after a couple of price rises.... :P

Adamant

The byes ended up being a big failure for me. I'm currently sitting just outside 7k, but still confident that I can finish strong.

At this stage I'm thinking Vlastuin --> Waters and Rowe --> Gibbs (via Neade DPP). Leaves me with 8k in the bank and a finished team (until I sideways some underperforming premiums) besides Titch at M8.

Should I grab Daniher instead though and look at Waters (B/E of 104) next week?

Not to sure about waters has had a few sort tissue injuries and is getting a bit long in the tooth, having said that if he can keep fit, shaw, hibberd, trent mcenzie or even corey enright could be a few blokes to look at.

Adamant

I can only afford another defender under 430k.

I like Waters as a POD. He just needs to stay fit and he'll be worth it.

He's already missed 7 games this year, surely he can't have anymore bad luck? :P

Money

I like your current trades, I'm missing Daniher myself but I don't think it's such a big loss, I reckon do your double upgrade this week and then downgrade someone to Clisby/Hunter or even both next week.

Windigo

Get in Gibbs, but I don't trust Waters to stay fit.  :P

I'd go for Hibbo or McKenzie.

Even when he has played it's been 70's mainly..

Agreed with this.

Stuck on Vlast -> Hibberd/Mckenzie myself atm. Might wait past Partial lockout and go with Mckenzie (Mind games with opponent style :p ).

Yeah, I've currently got McKenzie in & he certainly looks different. Gotta remember he is scoring premium like numbers as he doesn't "look right" there!  :P

Haha I know what you mean. Every time I trade him in over Hibberd, I just think it doesn't look right at all and reverse it :)

I reckon I might back him in but. Has been solid, not to mention, a really good finals run.

Windigo

Haha, I know right.  :P

if you did deeper into his stats he is playing good DT footy & just general footy.

Averages 21 touches & 6 marks a game. Going 21+ 6/8 times. Had a couple of 17 touch games, yet still got 80's due to high K:H ratio.

Yeah, I had a look at some of his stat's and noticed the high K:H ratio as well.

Big fan of someone who kicks it more (DT relevance), one of the main selling points of bringing him in for me and I'm sure you as well :)

Windigo

The big selling point for me is his consistency thus far.

Something that is missing among the lesser backmen this year!  :P

If Shaw wasn't such a pain, I'd get him in.  ::)
