The big selling point for me is his consistency thus far.

Something that is missing among the lesser backmen this year!  :P

If Shaw wasn't such a pain, I'd get him in.  ::)

Definitely agree. I've upgraded to the likes of Hartlett and Hanley this year (Although Hartlett has picked it up, so I'm content with having him atm). Voss has killed Hanley's DT relevance atm, as far as I'm concerned.

As for Heater; Absolute pain. Whilst his scoring has been ok so far this year, I just couldn't bring myself to trade him in (No consistency, misses games etc.).

Waters is in a similar boat, but while his scoring is consistent, he misses to many games for my liking. Burnt me last year as well, with those late outs.

Windigo

Exactly, can't trust Shaw or Waters.  ::)

With all these trades you can now look outside the box & players like Trent can become viable. There is a bit of YOLO about getting him in.  :P

Adamant

Wow, just had a look and The Cannon is only 407k. Very good value for someone averaging 90.

But at this stage of the year I feel like it's best to target proven performers. Waters is priced at about an 80 average, but I can see him pushing 90-95 if he stays fit. Obviously that's a big if with his track record, but I think I'll risk it.

Windigo

Waters is a proven  let down though.  :P

Locked in my first trade - Clisby --> Thurlow.

With the news that Boydy is out for 3-4 weeks with a fractured jaw, he has to go unfortunately. :(

The big question is who to bring in...

I can afford anyone. Thinking Bartel, he's a guaranteed top 6 forward and is in ripping form. He'd be moved forward eventually, but I could just get a premo mid (Barlow, ROK etc) who'll most likely outscore Jimmy though...

And I could always just get Pav next week for Staker to send Robbo to the bench.

Windigo

I'd back in Goodes Vs GWS. Think I might trade out Scotland now that I've realized Dogs are playing Giants...

Robbo->Bartel is what I'd do..

Andrew

Boyd -> O'Keefe definitely the go for your 2nd trade. Next week Stevie J comes back and puts Robinson to the bench, he's ok for bench cover.

Not exactly. Cox is currently up forward while Stevie J is out so I can effectively play Nicholls over Staker. He'll go back to the rucks next week and Robbo stays at F6.

At this stage, I'm leaning towards Boyd --> ROK. Then next week I can go Jelwood --> Barlow and Robbo --> Bartel/Pav.

Fair enough. I just saw Nicholls as someone worth playing for the time being then upgraded once he's peaked - Roughead, Kreuzer, Minson all near-100 average for the past month and surely worth a look. Good idea to trade out Joel Selwood, I didn't want to comment on that... ;) But he does usually go big v Hawthorn.

This week I'm thinking either Nicholls --> Grundy and T. Mitchell --> Boyd... OR Rowe --> McBean and Nicholls --> Roughead.

Whichever one I don't do this week, I'll most likely do next week.

Windigo

Get in Grundy. At least he will have some chance of playing the rest of the season.

Looking good.  ;)

Pretty lucky with Scotland.... :P

Toga

Would you be able to afford Nicholls --> Grundy and Titch --> Beams? That'd be killer :)

Grundy looked very good, he should hold his spot IMO.

I can, but I prefer Boyd over Beams personally. Beams is getting all the hype this week and Boydy has become the forgotten man a little...

Toga

Cool, fair enough! Beams & Boyd both very solid! 8)
