played well tonight. Looks so much bettet than last year. Just goes missing at the end of games. A 90 av would be good

you mean text book last year? As usual, he went in to half time on 62 and killing it and then, AS USUAL, goes missing scoring just 30 pts in the second half

he went missing in the 3rd and woke up in the 4th with 2 minutes to play and manage to get some clearances... 3 kicks in a row if I remember correctly which ended up with a shot on goal by tuck (i think?)

This. The amount of points he scored tonight is irrelevant.

You do realise your on a Super Coach forum.

It's irrelevant to my motives behinf this thread. Did you read the post that I quoted? And the thread title? The point is, like last year, he has a solid first half then goes missing for whole quarters and more! He was on 53 at half time tonight and was on 65 into time-on in the last quarter. That's why i said his score tonight was irrelevant.
Hope that clears things up for you

Agree with Pikla on this one... I stuck with Dusty all of last year, two rounds in I see know difference in output, or more specifically the way he goes about it.

This has the whole Higgins feel about it (without the injuries ), It's just the same theme week in week out. Luckily at this point I don't think I have any rookie fixes to do, so I can luxury trade away!

leighroids

He's a supercoach tease, biggest in SC history. Every game his on track for a record score by quarter time. Such a frustrating fantasy player.

Frozensage

He is a forward, he is cheap, if he avg 90 a game I will take that every day of the week.

So far so good but could should might and may get better!

Don't know about you but I picked him on the proviso he would average 100+ because that is what it will take to be in the top 6 forwards this year with the ruck/fwds entering the fray. 90 is not enough..

Time to look at options!

It will take major issues elsewhere this week for me to ignore his result.

I don't think he was exactly that cheap either. Unless Zorko smashes out a huge score against the Crows, he will have been a better pickup up until this point then Zorko. That is one way of looking at it.

True!... I will give things  a sober evaluation in the morning and more importantly at the end of the round.

Don't drink and Supercoach kids! :)

Personally I did not get him this year. I downgraded Fyfe to him before lockout last season to free up some cash and he was extremely disappointing. I was constantly wanting to trade him out, but with injuries everywhere else, hung on to him. To not get burnt again, I just didn't bother.

l plan on turning him into him into StevieJ in the not too distant future, l never saw Dusty as a keeper, more as a decent scoring stepping stone.
Yeah sure it'd be nice for him to actually run out a game for once, but in all reality to pick him you have to be prepared his 2nd half siesta's

hawkers65

His energy has taken him to every contest so far in the 2 games which has meant he just ran around the player and received a cheap handball. If he continues this i don't see him going under 70. Plus when he was being rested up Fwd he kicked the 3 behinds, all 3 where very close and if he was to make 2 of those and take the mark right in front with a few mins to go and kick the goal, that score could easily been 115+. I see huge upside in the way he is playing and i think he could be a player where you can bank on the 70 and hope for a 110+ and therefore average 95+. I know thats not quite premo status but if he doesn't drop below 70 i'd still take that for sure!

Look at Dangerfields start to the season last year, very similar to Dusty this year. I'm keeping the faith and can see signs of him going bang.

Agreed. Its two rounds and scores of 85 and 92 are quite respectable, come round 4-6 I'd expect him to be really pumping out the big scores.
