BREAKING NEWS: Scans have revealed skipper Matthew Boyd has suffered a calf strain. He's expected to miss 2-3 weeks. #ourheartland

Ah crap. I had him in my centrebet team. Means jack for SC for me, but could mean if  Koby Stevens is fit he is a certain lock.

Also just had a look at his SC price, there are some great cheaper options. Murphy, Jack, Swallow and Mitchell. Could even take the risk with a Callan Ward.

QuoteScans later today have revealed that Captain, Matthew Boyd, has suffered a calf strain and is expected to miss at least two to three weeks.

Following the recent practice match against Richmond, Boyd experienced soreness in the calf.

Boyd was monitored throughout last week, and after failing to improve, an MRI scan conducted later today has revealed the minor strain.

More to come

I wasn't considering him in SC but have him in my DT.
May open the door for Koby Stevens

no one in regular SC should have him anyway

Pretty surprising i thought he was unbreakable... hope it's not the first of many for him. Not in my team this year none the less  ;)

Yeah Boyd has only missed 2 games in 6 seasons, this is quite a shock and a massive blow for the dogs

Really tempted to start Wallis now...

Libba will be cheaper for a similar out put? Wallis tempts me too, had him last year and scored some tons

Wallis and Pendlebury's fantasy numbers at this time in their career are scarily similar.  :o
