GEELONG

Hamish McIntosh (knee) TBA
Josh Hunt (glandular fever) TBA
Daniel Menzel (knee) 2-3 weeks
Dawson Simpson (back) Indefinite
Trent West (knee) 1-2 weeks
Jed Bews (foot) TBA
George Burbury (foot) TBA

When Hamish McIntosh was traded to Geelong it was a matter of where do you play all these talls. Now, it’s whose left to ruck after injuries to Trent West (knee), Dawson Simpson (back) and McIntosh (knee). Former steeplechaser Mark Blicavs will have first crack at the Hawks after impressing in the NAB Cup. Josh Walker, also a rookie, will be added to the senior list to help out at the stoppages. Steve Johnson sits out Saturday’s blockbuster against Hawthorn serving a one-match ban. Luckless forward Daniel Menzel is expected to play in the VFL.

Kennet's curse will continue. I think the cats will smash Hawthorn this week. Even with some important missing players, the Hawks have some missing to. Cats by 5 to 10 goals.

Can't believe you blokes won with no SJ, Kelly and playing a rookie ruckman.

Trent West played. Our new recruits Caddy and Rivers played well and the young running players did some damage in the second half when the hawthorn players got tired. Later on in the season it might be different but all you can do is win right?

A good start to the season, but we wouldn't want to give Carlton a seven goal head start. We were lucky. Full credit to the boys though for not giving up. As I have said before, this is the (mentally) toughest team I have ever seen.
