This years DreamTeam rules has completely changed the way I am playing and i guess most of you as well.

Having two trades a week means you can burn out of form players, bring in a gun that is playing against a poor team, buy cash cow before they rise.

In previous years I wouldn't trade in round one. This year I will be making the most of my 2 trades after round 1  ;)

Yeah completely agree mate!

For instance, rather than taking a punt on leaving Leuenberger in my team this week (without knowing if he'll be named/be sub) I've gone with a Maric/Whitfield combo that I might consider turning into Fyfe/Leuey next week...

It's terrible now. Any great smokey selections are worthless now because everyone can just jump on board after 1 round. Oh we'll, at least they will make more money now. My anger at the rule changes has now been replaced by indifference. I just no longer care.

I agree with you both. I feel also that you dont need as much skill (saving trades to last the season) but a new set of skills, picking a player playing a weak side for that game to give you the 30-50 point edge

Just as players need to adapt to rule changes us couch potatoes need to do the same. It was tight with limited trades but now we need to see how we can use them to get ahead of the others.

UNTILL PLAYERS START GETTING SUBBED EARLY WHEN PLAYING CRAP TEAMS. HAPPENED LAST YEAR

You also need to do your homework if going down the "week fixture" path

Example:

Scotty Thompson's bigger scores are against the better teams ;)

Doggoneit

Agree with you Tbag

There are a lot of quality players who get up for the big ones and score highly while possibly against lower sides are just going through the motions, and generating avg scores.

Thats why I am ignoring all the advice that buddy has a hard draw and you should wait to get him cheaper - I'll be naming him Rd 1, expecting the big games to bring out the best in him

you are right on money,i yawn every time i see people talk about an individual players easy/tuff draw, btw im keeping buddy out for now & will hope he comes down & another player i have rises in price, then i will trade him in,but i sure as hell aint making those decisions based on his fixture-kudos

Yeah that crap about Buddy, really? Buddy has a hard draw :P

Even funnier is when they say Port or Melbourne have an easy dray, really? I don't see much being easy for these clubs :P

But still gives me a giggle ;D

Flurting with danger too be hunting easy draws!

Cicjose

except you went and picked walker and danger anyway..............
