26,000 overall, $87,000 and 26 trades...

Goddard Gibbs Duffield Goodes Pittard Stevenson (Hutchins Terlich)

Ablett Pendlebury Kennedy Dangerfield Cotchin Wines Crouch O'Meara (Kommer Viney)

Maric Rowe (Daw Blicavs)

Franklin Cox Rockliff S.Johnson J.Kennedy Dwyer (Neade Lee)

Thinking... Viney > Kerridge
                Stevenson > Docherty

Leaving me 24 trades & $270,000.

Thoughts guys?

Ringo

Both sound trades Donnie

Stevenson imo has possibly only 2 more price rises anyway so not being named this week trade,

Viney may come back and score big again but is that a risk worth taking.  Interesting choice though in Kerridge what is his JS like in Crows midfield.  Will he be the sub? Would possibly prefer Mayes or Evans.

Donnie Brasco

You're a wise man Ringo. I screwed up big time, two trades wasted!

Stupidly went early on Kerridge and Docherty, last week, so it seems I have wasted a couple of trades. In a pickle, but glad I picked Stevie J from Round 1.

Personally I would look at a blicavs downgrade to Gawn and then upgrade Dwyer to a premium ruck or fwd.. The remaining spot in that area should be saved for nicnat

Donnie Brasco

Thanks Felsty, I was looking at Gawn, but I'm not sure what you mean by suggesting Dwyer to a premium ruck, how is that possible? Apologies in advance for my amateurish Supercoach knowledge, I'm sure it's obvious.

Hahah na no problem mate! That's what a forum is for..

In the trade window, after you trade Blicavs > Gawn you can choose to make another trade. Click on Dwyer to trade out and an S should appear next to Rowes name on the side so you can sub him into the forward line, effectively trading Dwyer out for a ruck. It means you lose DPP with Cox and Rowe, however that can be easily replaced later on if you downgrade Blicavs or Gawn..
Does that make sense?

Donnie Brasco

Thanks again mate, makes sense. What would you do? Should I worry about my backline or not, I guess everybody has the same issue with all the outs, etc...

felsty

i think if you have the cover then go for it.. docherty and hutchins have shown to score well enough when given a full game. all comes down to pittard and what happens.. personally im going to cop the donut and back my players in to get a good enough score to keep me up in the rankings. i really want to get stevie j and gawn into my side and the time is right with blicavs and dwyer hitting the wall. i tried to do the mathematics before and unless i trade out gibbs or goodes now for a premium and save the donut i wont realistically be able to get stevie in next week, and after that it might cost me an extra 100k to get him in. it just matters whats right for you.

personally i would downgrade blicavs to gawn and then look at upgrading your backline. rowe still has a little bit of money to make and could be upgraded to a premium ruck in a week or two. pittard > hartlett, shaw or birchall could be a good idea. only problem with trading out rowe soon for a premium means you lose your r/f link but downgrading gawn or daw when they max out for a mcbean or someone of the sort with r/f dpp and a low price will open that up again

Donnie Brasco

Cheers Felsty, much appreciated. Think I'm going to go...

Blicavs > Gawn
Pittard > Birchall/ Heppell/ Shaw/ Enright

Worried about Hatlett's consistency, body and Port's run, etc.

felsty

yeah same move here.. ill just pay more for stevie j later.

except im going to jump on hartlett. reckon birchall is a bit too pricey and for me shaw hasnt shown enough just yet to prove he'll be a top six defender.. hartlett spending too much time on the ball to have a poor score i think, and the way port is playing, especially the comebacks against good teams, makes me think that they should be quite a handful for a lot of teams this year..

Like most, had a shocker this week, not even 2000... 35,175 overall, $50,000 and 22 trades.

A lot to think about this week!

Ringo

Think it is about time you addressed rucks Donnie as this is costing you. I would swap Cox and Rowe as an interim measure playing Cox in the ruck. (You can restore link later if need be).

I would look at trading Hutchins to a rookie who is playing and then Dwyer to a forward you can afford.  Dwyer has reached his ceiling imo.

Donnie Brasco

Cheers Ringo, yeah the rucks have been playing on my mind all year. Anybody I should be looking at down back for Hutchins... Staker? Laird? etc.
