So funny

Im calling it at halfway through the 3rd quarter

Wheres Dangerpants?

Wheres Tex?

I know its only rd 1

But gee...cant resist

tbagrocks

 :'(

Well the idiot Demetriou has ruined our game, the stoppages are too quick and burst players like the Dangerman don't have time to catch their breath

The idiot has given the game to the indurence athletes and some of our most talented players will be too tired to work their magic

But wait! Now they want an interchainge restriction? Sorry but this ends the burst player for ever, either you are a marathon runner or don't bother playing AFL footy!

Doesn't excuse Tex but flower me, wtf is the idiot boss trying to do? >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

He he

I agree mate..the game is in very bad shape...the dictator is moulding the game so mums will want their boys to play afl instead of rugby...he is trying to turn it into soccer as a safe game

The game has been in decline for the last decade.

Ive been whinging about it for the last 4 years when it has become really bad...and the funny thing is...its just going to get worse with this sliding rule

then next year there is going to become some equalisation rule where teams that are well off, like the cows and hawthorn for example (our teams) will have to prop up the dogs, demons, giants, suns, roos etc because the dictator introduced teams that will never get more than 10k members. These new teams have made the situation even worse for the struggling old school teams by detracting the supporter base.

I like to watch AFL because I played for a lot of years...I get really frustrated and my missus has black eyes because of the stupid rules now

Im hearin ya bud

Good onya for bein a good sport

AFEV

Sliding rule is terrible. Seems to have gone in our favour a lot tonight but can see that's going to be a frustrating one this season...

bowyanger

I predict bad stuff for Tex and Dangerpants

Adelaide is a football fishbowl...as soon as they have 1 or 2 bad games, and the cows lose, when there is such high expectations for the team this year....the media and public will savage them.

Footy is definately a confidence game...if they start getting belted by the public...lookout...bad seasons coming up

Adelaide lives for footy, like Perth.

its different in Melbourne where there are many underperforming stars that can lessen the focus..then in Sydney and Brisbane - no one cares really

Justin Bieber

Tex showed his true colours late.

Dangerspud never did.

Adelaide sucks.

That's what we learnt from Adelaides dreadful performance.

gossiboy

Really looking forward to this tex bloke you've been talking up all pre-season getting a run soon tbag, needed him tonight.

Almost looked like winning the game in the fourth, two goals and looked right in it

But the idiot boss Demetriou has changed the rules so much that the game changed far too much, not flowering happy, not the result that's fair, but those new rules has flowered the game! Why are we standing for it?

You can't seriously be blaming the AFL? There was still 2 teams playing with the same amount of players with the same rules. If Dangerfield is good enough he will adapt, which I'm sure he will.

Seriously I am! Sure maybe Danger was bad...

The new rules of quicker stoppage time has changed the game, Danger looked tired after quarter time! coincidence? Game has changed

Sack the idiot boss right now!

bowyanger

WTF is Jerry doing in the above avatar?

Mate Ive been trying, every1 has had a go at gaining momentum to get the dictator sacked.

He is a dictator......cant be done easily

Even Jeff Kennet has come out earlier this year and said its time to go

5 years too late I reckon

The game has gone into disrepair.

Easy fix = totally erase the last 10 years of rule changes (half of the new rules have been intruduced to offset the initial new rules)

Fans would love it and start going to games again. Games will be much cheaper to attend also

A pie might cost under $5 (still unreasonable) because the grounds will have more people = justifying their operational costs

Simple economics really

No GWS & GC = more fans and money for the struggling clubs

None is gonna want to play for a club with no history besides money

Take away the money from AFL = no team

Its doomed

I live on the goldy...to get to metricon is a logistical nightmare..I love footy but its too much of a hassle to go watch it...and I live 5 kms away...90% of the people here dont care about AFL..all they care about is going to the beach and fugby

Cancel pre season draft for a year and let the other teams pick over the players from GC and GWS

Simple economics....cut your losses and move on...the problem will be solved in 2 years...instead of dragging on for the next 20 years

haha, sure, blame minor rule changes.

if you actually read this

http://aflcommunityclub.com.au/fileadmin/user_upload/Umpire_AFL/Laws_of_the_Game/LawsoftheGame_2013RuleChanges.pdf

they're attempting to bring the flow of the game back to what it used to be. Looking at those rule changes, with the exception of the sub rule, they're mostly very minor.

then you have rules in order to limit injuries/ unfair contests, which are legitimated.

what they've changed this season: forceful contact beneath the knees, separation of rucks, throwing up the ball, reduce kick in times.

the only one of those that might have affected dangerfield is the throwing up of the ball, as you said, citing fitness.

I really dont think that's what affected him though. He was still in the majority of cotnests... hocking was just dominating him and tagging the shower out of him.

why danger went shower had nothing to do, or minimally to do with the changed rules, the difference is inconsequential. The issue is that he wasn't good enough to break hockings tag.

the decreased stoppage time is estimated to add like a minute to each game... it's not like some insane I/C cap, it's increasing game time by like 1%.

Let's just ignore all the rest :P

Don't blame me, I saw a tired Danger often out there, if only he was an endurence runner ::)

quinny88

Tbag you have been talking up what a massive season danger is going to have for the past 3 months and now you're jumping off him after 2 hours of football? It had nothing to do with the rules he had a bad game as almost every Adelaide player did. He will come out and score 150 next round and we won't hear a peep about the rules from you.
