on a slight tangent..you could always put someone like Dwyer..yea he needs an upgrade...cheap, dpp at F8 or M10 and not even worry and focus on the keepers. If he or other cheapie get a run well and good. If not just use him a swingman. Just a thought.. :D

With 2 trades a week you should be able to bring him in on bubble... whenever that is
Take him out mate

To quote the prospectus, Kommer is a mature-aged player. He averaged 19 disposals in the WAFL last year, racking up 20 or more seven times. The Bombers have shown in the past that they are inclined to play older players, with the likes of Hibberd, Baguley, O'Brien and Dell'Olio all debuting in recent seasons. In one game in the nab cup, he was in the top scorers for Essendon. You have seen what other mature-aged rookies have done in previous years. If anything they are more reliable and score better than 18 year olds, obviously because their bodies are more conditioned and can handle the pace and hardness needed to play AFL. Essendon's strategy in the draft was to get a couple of mature-aged players, Kommer being one of them, Van Unen another, in order to be able to play them straight away. He is there to play....not to look pretty in the VFL...

Trade out and trade back in on the bubble which would be a week after the rookies playing round 1 (if they play 3 in a row), that way you get the first price rise for both, first one is usually the biggest unless they start really slow.

In hindsight I would take a rookie score of 60. Have faith in my rooks though 8)
