They've been pretty horrendous away from the Gabba and, if Gray and Wingard are back, Port should comfortably win. Dunno about the injury situation though.

I wouldn't have thought Gray would be back but Wingard most likely, Beams a chance to return for the lions. I think it'll be a lot closer than the odds suggest Port aren't exactly flying and if Lions can play like they did against the Swans there could be a power outage. Only thing the Lions are missing is a forward that midfield of Rocky, Beams (when plays), Robinson, Hanley, Rich and Zorko is pretty solid.

I agree that $4 might be a bit much but, realistically, they probably should be about $3 and still won't win most likely. It's like me thinking Richmond are overs at $7.50 because of Hawthorn's form and Richmond's recent dominance over them... but I still wouldn't bet on them because, even if I think the odds should be more like $5, I still think they'll lose.

Didn't want to post anything earlier in case I jinxed it. At Christmas, half through the season, I noticed Leicester were still $21 to win the Premier League even though they were on top at the time.

Whacked a $10 free bet on it 8)

Probably doesn't seem much to you guys who outlay more but $200 is a big collect for me :)

They were! I heard some bloke put 77 cents on them then cashed it out after the first week for a 66 cent profit. He could've made 3000+!

WTF?  Why would you even bother if you weren't going to see it through.  Absolute tosser!

WhatMate

I've seen this one which was confirmed by Ladbrokes? Seems like he accidentally put Leicester to win the league, but still...

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/7110021/The-worst-cash-out-in-history-Punter-put-50p-on-Leicester-to-win-title-at-beginning-of-the-season-and-cashed-out-for-45p-after-first-game.html

Apparently the bookies have lost millions this year, I had a mate telling me his mate received a phone call from sports bet a few weeks back offering him 8 or 9k if he cashed out then rather than the 12k if he road it through.

Such a beautiful thing in football though.

PowerBug

That's exactly the same article I read a few days back but with the numbers elephants used a couple of posts above. Person got offered free tickets and a free bet for next season etc.

So idk which one to believe :P

The Warrnambool Carnival Racing starts on Tuesday and I have had a look at the 4 Jumps/Hurdle races on Tuesday and here are my top selections. Current odds are fixed odds with Crownbet

Race 1 Number 2 Fastnet Isle $3.70
Race 2 Number 3 Extra Zero $2.05
Race 3 Number 9 Livery $3.80
Race 6 Number 7 Earthbound $5.00

Lets see if we can make a profit with these on Tuesday.

Fastnet Isle @ $2 won and Livery @ $4.20 won

Extra Zero was $2.60 but ran 2nd

2 out of 3 isn't bad with 1 to go. Earthbound is now $4.20 fixed

Just checking out the odds for this weekend's games. GWS $1.29 favourites to beat Freo in Perth :o

No-one in a million years would have predicated that at the start of the season.

Fastnet Isle @ $2.40 SP won and Livery @ $5 SP won

Extra Zero was $2.60 but ran 2nd

earthbound no good but turned a profit a $1 stake on the 4 tips would have turned $4 into $7.40 and a 85% profit on turnover.

Day 2 of the Warrnambool Carnival is tomorrow and the jumps races are races 1 and 6

Tips below are:

Race 1 number 1 Banksters Bonus currently $2.30 with Crownbet
Race 6 number 7 Gingerboy currently $1.80

I would suggest to have a decent crack at Gingerboy in Race 7 for the mighty combination of Darren Weir and John Allen. The only way it will not win is if it falls or breaks a leg.
