3 of the 4 games came up, the only one that didn't was the Pats game. As I said earlier I took the Bengals in my pick'em but at $2 the Pats were really good value if they did win which is what made it risky.

Just so you know, a lot of people would have taken the Chargers to win that game which is what I also find funny. The lesson here is never trust San Diego. Also the fact that Oakland was the leg that got up and New England didn't

I only ended up getting 2 games wrong this week in my actual picks, Seattle/Indy game I went with Seattle and the Miami/Ravens game I went with Miami.

Yeah pretty confident. All the teams I selected have done well in their games so far, and are definitely up there as the best European countries. Wouldn't say 100% confident though since soccer can be very unpredictable at times since it's such low scoring...

Anyway here are the results of the teams so far in their matches...

Holland - 1 nil over Luxemberg (away), 4 nil over Scotland (home)
vs
Georgia - 1 nil loss to Slovakia (away), 3 nil over Luxemberg (away)

Only concern is Holland is playing away, but should still be strong enough.


Portugal - 5-1 over Norway (home)
vs
Israel - 7-2 over Azerbaijan (home)

Portgual playing at home so will win easily.


Spain - 4 nil over Albania (home), 6-2 over Austria (away)
vs
Bosnia - 4-1 over Albania (home), 2 nil loss to Austria (home), 4-1 loss to Hungary (away)

This is Spain, need I say more?


Belgium - 2 nil over Cyrpus (home), 1 nil over N. Irelrand (home), 3-1 over Italy (away)

N. Ireland haven't even scored a goal yet, whilst Belgium have scored 6 and conceded 1. Plus have already defeated N. Ireland.

Germany is a powerhouse. Haven't conceded a goal yet, but haven't played at home. This game is at home, so should be enough.

Bulgaria vs Armenia

Pick: Bulgaria to win @ $2.30

Armenia's form in this qualifying campaign is strange. They've lost all four of their home games. Scoring only once, better away team.

Bulgaria for their part are a hard team to break. They've lost only once in their 8 qualifying games, 1-0 away to Italy, drawn 4 of the eight, two at home and two away.

Azerbaijan v Northern Ireland

Pick: Azerbaijan Double Chance @ $1.33

Simply, North Ireland cannot win a game to save themselves, defeated Russia in August...BUT There have been just 2 away wins for them from last 20 road games. Take out that Russia victory, there last win was the 11/8/11 against Faroe Islands. Azerbaijan are solid at home, but not good enough for me to pick outright.

Faroe Islands v Kazakhstan

Pick: Kazakhstan to Win @ $2.00

Both teams are very very shower. But I think Kazakhstan are a more established team. The Faroes have lost 12 games straight scoring just 4 goals, haven't won a game for near two years.
Kazakhstan have won two of their last three, and last time out lost only 1-0 to Sweden. They also defeated the Faroes 2-1 last time they met. Faroes only have won two home games ever. This game ain't gunna be draw, it'll be a win either way. Hopefully it goes the Kazacs way!  ;)

Germany Vs Ireland

Pick: Germany to win @ $1.18

Beat them 6-1 last time.

Spain Vs Belarus

Pick: Spain to Win @ $1.06

Cannot go against Spain at home.

Denmark v Italy

Italy have already qualified for Brazil, while Denmark are still hunting for points. Plenty of value for Ital. Denmark only have won 2 of the last 10 at home. Italy have only lost 3 away games last 16. Hoping for an Italy victory. Over 2 bucks seems good value

Sweden Vs Austria

Pick: Sweden to win @ $ 1.73

Sweden have won 12, drawn 1 & lost 3 games at home last 16. Austria away, have only 1 away win since 2008. Have played 6 times in Sweden for just one win back in 1996.

Odds all up are $28.72 if Italy win.

Might add Russia & Romania to get to $31  :P
