A) Deledio,McVeigh,Libba,Rocky,Sloane,Mundy

B) Wingard, D.Jackson, Bartel, M. Murphy, Wells, Birchall

C) Roo, McLean, Westhoff, Goddard, Ziebell, Sidebottom.

Who would we pick out of each of these 3 groups to get the most no of votes?

A) Libba
B) Murphy
C) Roo (think Goddard has been pretty good this year though)

Pity you can't multi a few of these together!

Do you think Murphy can beat jackson and wingard? How much do you think Murphy is gonna poll?
Goddard/McLean could even pip roo. so hard to call.

Well Blues, Port & Tiges will share the vote around, but Jackson or Wingard have never really polled and its normally the year after they breakout that they start getting votes.  Look at Swan, that year everyone thought he was a shoe in he lost and then won the very next year.  Don't think Murphy has polled that well in the past and I think the theory stands he will poll better now that he is more of a recognised player.

Don't think Mclean will poll as well as everyone thinks.  Goddard one is tough cos I rated him the 2nd best player on their team this year behind Watson, but with looking around at brownlow tipping he looks right out of it so he could go either way I think.  Roo has had a great season and not sure why he isn't getting the recognition, guy has been a workhorse all year, Montagna has been solid without getting noticed too much...

Couldn't agree with you more on your background theory.
Everyone knows Roo has had a great season, but the matter of the fact is its the dilemma "will forwards poll enough votes?" We could argue this and that, but who knows exactly what the umpires want from forwards to award them the 3 or 2 votes? Is it goals, contested marks, a bit of this and that? I do think goddard/mclean might get closee to roey in that group and even ziebell too.

Ineligible player handicap
Stevie J + 4 @7.50 with fyfe at scratch looks to be decent value?
surely the best bet of the Brownlow? ??? ::)

kilbluff1985

The handicap means at the end of the night you get the players total votes then add the handicaps and see who wins I like Pendles +5 the most got on him when he was @10.00

It's not just a comparison between Fyfe and Stevie J though. It's all the players in that list with their respective handicaps.

in that case I seriously like Bartel +13.5
- he'll get 10-12 votes ... +13.5 = 23.5-25.5

or Franklin +16, can't see him getting less than 8 votes ???

Don't like the market looks like could be a tie and dead heat rules apply

Master Q

Mitchell just needs to place and all your trifectas fall to pieces kb  :P

There was this guy on the Footy Show who has predicted the past 11 brownlows, and one a few hundred thousand on the brownlow last year - he thinks Sammy Mitchell will bring it home  :o

kilbluff1985

no way Mitchell has had a better year then Pendles, Selwood or Ablett don't care what that guy says

Mitchell's been at HB - so many cheap disposals - nowhere near as good as 2012
