Rookie Defs vs Premo Mids - The balance?

Please criticise the hell out of my team.

Not sure if the lineup of 5 rook defenders and 6 premo mids will be worth it??

Finding the balance between premium midfielders and rookie forwards is very difficult. Last year I went hard on the midfield premos and had the 5 rookie defenders, unluckily it didn't pay off. But this year with the extended midfield, maybe those extra midfielders will make up for the lower scores of the rookies?

4/5 premo mids are the go even 4/1 midpricer moloney ect , maybe downgrade murphy,swallow,kennedy to  wines and upgrade de boer to rockliff,not sure on stringer and growden, but you need martin ,robbo ,in their aswell

Took one of the premo's out of the mids and replaced straight up with a rookie, free'd up enough to upgrade the fwd line. But might pick up another rookie in thw fwds, maybe pick up a mid-priced def.

how much money do you have left??
if you have enough, i would upgrade jelwood to like cotch or even just stragith swap for murph or danger, new rule is going to hurt the amount of frees that he gets i think
good solid backs, maybe docherty has a bit of a question mark over him, will probably be the sub if he plays
kennedy is a good unique in the mids
not sure about mcevoy maybe kruez or belly would be better, smae goes with smith, but he could breakout this year
good fwds, kerrige probably wont play, he's stuck behind crouch and aiden riley in the pecking order for games, get maccaffer if you can afford him, if not, go tom lee

I've been fidgeting with my team a little, to the extent I have exactly $0 in the bank.

Defs: Same

Mids: Same

Rucks: Smith --> Kreuzer. Rowe --> Blicavs

Fwds: Rocky --> Stevie J.

If you've got enough in the bank, keep Rocky for Rd 1 then trade him to Stevie J (who's suspended), unless you already have two trades in mind for Rd 2. I'd downgrade Buddy to Zorko and upgrade Kennedy - don't think he's output is reliable enough. I think Buddy is overpriced and as the Hawks have a tough start, I think he'll come down in price letting you pick him up with a sideways trade.

A bit risky having $0 -  means you're relying on a net improvement of your players to be able to improve your squad. What if one of your midpricers goes down?
