Mat0369

So I have reversed my trade of Caff>Daniher

Birchall out 4-6, Goodes in doubt, rumors of Vlastuin in doubt, Thurlow might come in this week but I doubt it Docherty my only other backup, I need to fix my back line

I have an idea of Birch out, sub Staker back, then bring Daniher into the forward line. I will start Caff in place of Stevie J. He might leak cash but I trust him more then Daniher. I will then upgrade Goodes or Vlastuin to a premium defender this week. I am really not sure what else to do since I am low on cash

Mat0369

So I got home from work a couple of hours ago to see Daniher is out. Well that makes this week a bit harder. I'll be working tomorrow until 3.30 then have to keep working at home until the game starts. The stuff at home I can't really do much but keep an eye on it and will look into it further. Is McBean an option in the forward line as just a cash grab? I think it will depend on if Rowe is playing more then anything. Any ideas from now until tomorrow would be appreciated. Unless Birch>Clisby if named for cash is a decent trade, but Caff is a more logical guy to trade out the week after the bye. Oxley is the other option but he would be fairly useless after this week as I would sub trade Staker for Caff the week after and have them both in the forward line

Hmmm interesting. Yeah Daniher out is a bit of trouble but I still think he is worth bringing. He won't play the Eagles as the Bombers don't reckon he is ready to face players like Cox and Nic Nat. He is surely going to play more this year. I myself am thinking Thurlow / Docherty to Clisby. Ideally hold that trade one week.

Birchall > Daniher ( Via Staker )
Vlastuin > Ibbotson

Ibbo is hitting some nice form and like I've said many times, Freo have a sweet draw.
Vlas obviously high BE and injury concern, I reckon it's time to let him go.
Hold Goodes as he is a mature player and is less of a concern than Vlas IMO.

Good Luck Matt ! Also good job on getting on Griffen early ;)

Please check out my post as I have made a trade plan and would like to run it by someone.

Ringo

Even though it leaves no forward emergency I would still do the Daniher trade for cash. Bombers will want to get games into Danniher so he will increase in price and provide reasonable F10 coverage.

Means no forward emergency this week and possibly next depending on Daniher playing next week.

My problem now with Daniher is if he is out this week, and my trade is essentially a cash grab, would I not be better off taking a cheaper rookie? This is the problem with players on the bubble, Daniher comes in this week, but might not get a game for another month now. Priced at over 150k I can't justify getting him in as a cash grab.

I am just having a look at forward rookies at the moment, Spangher, Michie (destroying the WAFL and is the travelling emregency), Taberner, Mcbean (for DPP) and even Sumer, Murdoch or Lamb although they have gone up or down in price respectively.

Ringo

With Graner named on extended bench wait until tomorrow and if named even though may be sub look at him instead of Daniher, Will save $40k as well.

Yeah I think there are way to many cheap options. It just means Heppell is not my premium upgrade for this week. Cannon is probably target number 1

Ringo

Birchill to Garner via Staker
Thurlow to MacKenzie

Next week
Mcaffer to Heppell via Staker

Mat0369

I was thinking something more like this

Birchall>Forward Rookie
Goodes> Cannon

Caff>Malceski
Vlastuin>Hanley/Heppell

I am not sure if I will have the cash to trade out Thurlow and make an upgrade next week since I don't have much to begin with

Ringo

OK did not do the sums - Caff may lose 10/20k as well this week.

Was only suggesting Thurlow as he looks like not playing too many more games whereas Goodes will probably be in Dogs team for rest of year being a mature aged body.

Yeah that is true, I had not considered Thurlow out, but since I am fairly screwed in my cash situation, i might be better holding off on Thurlow this week. You have given me another idea though. Hanley should drop significantly over the next few weeks, so instead of bringing in Malceski, Thurlow>Hanley might leave me with a nice chunk of change. I can't really play around with it now since reverse trades are out with lockout starting

Mat0369

Ringo the Sunday teams are through

Spangher is an emergency
Michie is the travelling emergency
Garner emergency
Taberner looks to be playing
Lamb is playing but bad job security and high sub chance (not tonight with Jack in but in general)
Murdoch from the Saints has been named and is priced at $121,600
Sumner named but more expensive again

Who are you leaning to?

Ringo

I went Birchall to Lamb to grab the extra cash.  basically only wanted the security in case of a forward late out and he fitted the bill.  Will be sitting at F8 for future rounds after trading Caff next week and returning Staker,
If looking for JS would probably look at Murdoch or Sumner

I wanted Stevie J for the captain loophole so I will be putting the emergency on Caff. Murdoch works better then Lamb for me as Murdoch plays Sunday twilight which means I can bring him on in case of emergency

I also have a poll running

I have taken Murdoch just for the fact he has a Sunday twilight game the next two weeks. Hopefully I won't need him any of the two weeks. It gives me loophole flexibility with Stevie J over the next two games as well.  I'll wait for the subs in the GC game before trading in Cannon tomorrow.
