Only a handful days until SuperCoach starts, and Luigi is panicking!

A simple poll regarding which are the best rucks to choose.
Feel free to add in your input.

Thanks, Luigi  ;D

Yes.

And Rowe.

and one of the cheap guys - depending on who is selected - Currie, Daw, Blicavs?

Luigi197

I refuse to to start a rookie ruck. 2 premium rucks i'm sticking to.

Surprised to see love for Jacobs; and also Leuey despite the injury rumours.

tor01doc

Not starting a rookie.

Jacobs is value - I can't see McEvoy, Roughead, Ryder (maybe Maric) outscoring him by much at all.

tbagrocks

Belchambers ;D  or Smith if I need the money

Colliwobblers

cox and maric

or

cox and burger

jury is still out....  can bliviciassarooni provide decent cover is the question.

Sorry. I was just being mean.

Not for my team this year. I will risk missing his break out.

Colliwobblers

i am not sold on the blues ruck setup.

they want to play kruze as ruck #1 and turn hampson into a fwd.

hampson is a SPUD.

what they NEED to do is play warnock as #1 ruck - he is a spud fwd but a good tap ruckman, and play kruezer as a fwd pinch hitting in the ruck.

they probably wont and i don't for the life of me know why they wont, but i think this would be the best option for them.

what it would mean to kruezers stats playing fwd and pinch hitting i don't know but it hasn't hurt nicnats scoring over the past few seasons.

kruze is not a good enough ruckman to beat the best and he has averaged just 12 disposals accross his career topping 20 just twice in 88 AFL games. He is only rated as average for hitouts per game, hituts won, and hitouts to advantage.

he just isnt very good.

what he does do well is tackle and apply pressure. but that is it, he doesnt kick many goals either.

#1 pick in 2007 is the only thing that really suggests he could break out one day, but nothing he has done since 2007 suggests it is likely.

He also doesn't take enough contested marks. For a big unit picked at #1, Lurch tends to drop his head every time he flies for a mark. Drives me INSANE!!!

Wow Colli; you are just so right!
It seems that Jacobs is looking more and more likely now..

billnats

Why the love of Jacobs over Maric? Simply a price thing?

still averaged just over 90 in SC last season, but a lot of that season he was all alone in the ruck, still if he gets the #1 job all to himself he may be good for another 90+

but that's not as much as the top few will get you...  DT you wouldn't even consider him unless you wanted to lose.
