i doubt this'll be the team i settle on, just a work in progress. anyone have any suggestions?

*should be noted i'm only going for league wins, and i refuse to ever have ablett.*

thanks

Team looks super good man! But i'd downgrade 2 prems out of your FWDs for either Kennedy, Karnezis or Varcoe... And then upgrade Colquhoun to another premium! Then your team looks great!

korza

The Tomahawk pick is interesting, Johnson is out rd1.

Jones>>Crouch

Good Luck !!!

Good team
I think you need one more premium mid,
Downgrade either Hawkins or Johnson to do this. I would get rid of Hawkins
Stevie j is out round 1
Backs very good, pretty much the same as everyone's!
Ruck very strong
Good team.  7.5/10

thanks guys,

to expand on my reasoning re points you raised. i think any more prem mids than i have is killing a good rookie spot. i was even running with only 3 prem mids for a while but like mundy's upside. i'm only going for leagues, so i'm not worried if i'm a little slow out of the blocks, there's just so much cash to be made with these rookies. re colquhoun, (he has to be named of course), but i like the dpp to the backs. there's every chance all those back rookies will initially outperform at least 3 of my mid rookies, whereby i'll swap godd/gibbs into the mids and play the rookie backs over the mid, switching back when necessary.

i'm not a fan of having too many midprice fwds. i chose varcoe of those you mentioned (plus byrnes). i've had a lot of midpricrers before and for one reason or another it just doesn't work out too well. i am tempted by karnezis though, however i'm not sure if it's just cos of the hype around him atm.

korza, crocuh JS? he was in all preseason up til very recently.

i think hawkins will breakout this yr to ave 105-110 (hopefully more!).

not worried bout SJ being out r1. league games dont start til r3, and i'm prob gonna lose vs the teams going for overall as well anyway

That's a solid team. Your right u might be a bit sluggish to start off with but all lines have solid bench rookies who will grow in cash fast allowing to upgrade and come home with big scores. Ideal set up if going for league wins, but will be giving to many points away early to overall contenders.

A- by not having ablett
B- by only having 3 super premo mids

Good league team but.

At first look i thought it looked awful with the lack of strength in midfield, but then looking at your depth thru rucks and forwards I actually really like this team.  Super unique and could do great things, especially as the mid rookies increase and you start upgrading.  No rating out of 10 as they just don't make sense or offer any valuable feedback.  Goodluck, i'll be interested to see how you go.

Def: No Problems here many people are starting 3 Cash Cows on the field.
Mids: Don't think Colquhoun will play early on If Matt Jones starts put him on the field. Not having Ablett is a risk considering he scored 138 on the weekend
Rucks: Very Strong
Fwds: Would look at replacing Varcoe with Karnezis or Josh Kennedy Need to Start Mccafer in Round 1.as Stevie J is out.

Overall: Team is a little weak in the Mids otherwise looks ok.  7/10

OK I love the team, but if u won't have Ablett then at least get another Swan/Watson/Selwood/Cotchin/JPK. Your fwds are even stronger than mine and I think mine are too strong. I would def downgrade Hawkins as he is the most inconsistent of the fwds.. Love the strong rucks with Ryder fwd.
