Sorry that I don't have a picture - Am doing this on my break @ work!
I'm happy that my team looks very different to most, and have gone for a slightly different strategy. Will be shuffling around a bit before the bounce but am relatively happy at the moment!

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Goodes, Pittard, Stevenson (Terlich, Docherty)
Mids: GAJ, Pendles, JPK, Danger, Cotchin, K Mitchell, Crouch, O Meara (Hrovat, Viney)
Rucks: Cox, Jacobs (Blicavs, Currie)
Fwd: Buddy, Rocky, Martin, Christensen, Byrnes, Macaffer (Neade, Lee)

Obviously i'm hoping Christensen jumps up to 95 or so, and could do that without suffering in the vest. 5 super-prems in the mids will form a solid base for my team, and when NicNat returns he'll form the DPP link with Cox in the rucks. Heppell is another that i'm tipping to crack the ton. Jacobs i'm not sold on, could find similar scores for cheaper I reckon, given that Adelaide were very successful last year and probably won't improve much.

Any thoughts/tips would be much appreciated!

Cheers.

To be honest, the only POD in your team is Christensen so it is a relatively safe but solid team.
You probably have 13 keepers + Allen and Byrnes = Not bad at all :)

Solid strategy only concern is that JPK, Cotchin and Danger had breakouts last year only, I'd probably want a bit more history if I were to pick ALL 3. But your midfield (points and money wise is very strong).

Overall, I like it 9/10

fever

95 from christensen is asking waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. other than that it's pretty good. i'd prefer to take another rookie in the mids and add a premo to the fwds though.

I can't see a reason why Christensen couldn't average 95. He's coming into his third season, was sub-affected in a few games and went 90+ more often than not.

His average score without his subbed games was about 85, and a jump of 10 points isn't beyond him. Scratch his 34 point effort against Collingwood and his average jumps to 88 or 89. It's not inconceivable imo.

RICK05

Your team looks a lot like every one else's so not sure what your been reading only seen a couple with christensen which is about the the only difference i can see. Think Byrnes is a shower truck imo so don't like that choice either other than that looking good 9/10

AC may get to 95 but that doesn't qualify him a keeper yet, so he'll be just a cash cow. If so, why not get a cheaper cash cow with more upside with regards money and less risk in that it is hard for a rookie to drop and the money saved can help get another premium in early.

3 key defenders are 13ers.

3 key mids are 13ers.

Plus Jacobs makes a minimum of  7 PLUS Crouch, O'Meara and Macaffer (if they're still there) PLUS any others you trade in like Swan, Beams, Watson, Walker and you also have to bear in mind that the next super bubble boy come round 11 - 12 could be from one of these teams that has the bye round 13 and if you are forced to get him in at that point, you'll suffer even more.

Not using Cox's DPP and starting him as a forward seems wasteful, especially given the loss of our best forwards from 2012 (Beams, Danger etc).

Docherty may not play.

Hrovat is hard to say.

Not to mention Blicavs!

Good luck.

I think there is a touch of confusion in regards to my team and it's difference to others. I'm not saying the individual players are unique, but the structure is different to the average team. I have gone with 5 super prems in the mids (haven't seen that too often) along with 2 solid ruck choices. Most teams have one or the other, or else have a Mundy/Fyfe/Hannebury etc as M5 or a Luey/Smith/Goldy etc as R2.

The byes are an issue, though I tried to avoid them last year and got burnt by injuries and suspensions etc.

Agree MC.

Byes are shared by all of us. My point is that a lineball decision between 2 similar players can be split by the bye.

eg JPK or Watson = go JPK (Not arguing either player is better, just examples of similar players in SC terms)

Danger or Cothcin = go Cotchin (See above!  ::))

5 top mids has been proposed several times. I prefer 4 - 4 1/2 and a stronger fwd line this year.

Good luck.

Yeah it's something I am still deciding on, and am sure i'll change my mind umpteen times before the lock-out! Byrnes is an issue, and i've been considering a downgrade at R2 to upgrade him to a mid-price forward option (either Karnezis or JJK at this stage).

Mate I was all over Christenson since last season. BUT looking at the cats mids - Stevie J will stay there and Chappy back as well apparently. Caddy has come form GC. Then there's Kelly,Hunt,Mackie,Corey,Duncan and of course Bartel and Selwood - that's 10 already! With Varcoe off the half back flank and Byrnes to the Dees that leaves Christo,Stokes and Motlop as the small forwards.

He is an awesome player and at a club with more mid opportunities he would go 100+ EASY. But not for me until Chappy retires!

I don't trust Heppell, but otherwise that's an awesome team. Look at mine? This page.

The real deciding factor here is Caddy - Where does he fit into the picture? Never really delivered anything at GCS, Geelong though have obviously drafted him for a reason, and Essendon were hot on his heels at one stage as well. He keeps promising the world but hasn't yet delivered - Is this his year?
