Who to choose? Patty is a late bolter, hasn't put a foot wrong in the pre season, is Varcoe going to average 85+? both playing ball winning positions, but I'm not sure who is the safer choice.

i gave up on varcoe just won't do enough to warrant selection. Karnezis easily in the poll and a lock in most teams you'll see.

the question is which other of those mid priced options or 2 if your like me do you start?

Varcoe i think not, byrnes i'm not sold on either.

Varcoe's NAB form has been inconsistent and previous SC history is not strong - not yet convinced he will hold down a running halfback role

Karnezis is relishing new role and is in a team on the way up

both have some risk but my gut leans to Karnezis having more potential for bigger SC scores

either way both will increase in value.

Varcoe's Position in the Geelong team is more secure than Karnezis' position in the Brsiabne team.

Safer pick would be Varcoe, you could see Karnezis as the better scorer therefore more to gain by picking him.

karny seems to be too good value to pass up imo.

I don't think Varcoe's position in the Geelong side is cemented in concrete, if he doesn't start producing he won't hold his spot.  Karnezis, on the other hand, has taken up the challenge and, so far at least, produced some great football.  As for Byrnes, I really don't think he's in the equation, simply has not done enough to warrant selection.
