No love for Swan...

Just been going through a lot of teams and there seems to be no love for Swan...

Can people tell me why they haven't pick him so far ?

A few reasons that I can see include

Pendles was not fully fit last year and is expected to improve more than Swan will.

Ablett is Ablett.

For value, Danger, Cotchin and even Murphy and a few others seem better.

Round 13 bye teams are full of top mids so watch you don't overload your team esp with Goddard, Gibbs, Shaw, Heppell also R13ers.

There is a feeling Swan is Mr DT rather than SC guy.

So, no, he is not in my team...yet.

Better options ahead of him IMO, whether its due to price or bye. I have Ablett, Pendles, JPK, Dangerfield, Cotchin and Murphy ahead of him with Swanny coming in at 7th. Will certainly feature in my team at some stage, its just from the start there are better options.

Overall I rate him top 5 but prefer to start with GAJ and Pendles for pure scoring / C duties and then Danger and Cotchin for value.

It's strange..... he's clearly not an SC scorer but averaged more than the popular players like Danger, JPK, Pendles etc.

I suppose it comes down to price.  His DE% probably doesn't warrant the second highest price-tag in the game.

 Keep swapping between him & Pendle's but am currently going with Swan ofcourse that will probably change 10 time in the next week.

Its worth paying the extra 50k for Swan over a Danger or Cotchin. Guaranteed big points.

What happened to all the hype about Swan being fitter than ever before?

In my current team but I'm considering Beams instead as not many have him in there, and I think there is a good chance for Swan to sit out some games either due to AFL suspension of club imposed suspension due to him being a flowertard. Great player no doubt, but Beams might play more games. Already have both Ablett and Pendles FWIW.
