i dont know how many other people would be facing this but i dont think im the only one.

basically i am choosing betweek JJK in the fwd line or berger in the rucks, using cox to swing between fwd and ruck

this is great except kennedy plays saturday and leuey plays the next week. so if i want berger rather then kennedy i have to gamble and hope that berger is named next week. or a can just take the sure thing this week in kennedy (providing that he is named).

i think bereger has more potential to score upwards of 90 frequently. but kennedy i think has a cieling of 85

what do we do? anyone in this situation?

charliesheen

Pick Blicav and take his score if Berger does not play.

Ricochet

Yeh pick Blicav on your bench with Currie/Daw/Rowe/Setanta/Witts/etc and cop their emergency score if Leuey doesn't play

Ringo

I think I will ensure I have one of the ruck emergencies playing surely one of Currie/Daw or Blicavs will play Round 1.

There is still a possibility Berger will play round 1 though as per article below.

Yep i am over him too, can see him jsut being injured over and over throughout the year. Not worth the stress

Hate to burst anybody's bubble but Blicavs is listed as MID only

I'm thinking of getting rid of him to. Will wait for updated news over the next couple of days. If nothing, might just downgrade one of my premium Forwards and upgrade to have 2 prem. rucks

Do your really hate it because you keep failing to burst it? Bubbles are tougher than you think sometimes ;)

What does everyone think about starting Cox in the ruck and playing it safe with JJK, since you won't know if Leuenberger's playing or not when you have to lock WCE players in? Then if Leuenberger does get named and kills it in his first 2 games back, you burn a trade swapping JJK with Berger before his price rise.

Best case scenario Berger doesn't play straight away, so JJK and your other forward midpricers  (varcoe, byrnes, karnezis etc.) have the chance to make a bit of money before Berger is 'on the bubble' and you could hopefully then just 'sideways' the worst performing midpricer to Berger.

Only problem with this trade is that you'll have to move Cox to forwards without touching Rowe so they'll both be on the same line. Although then you can just open the Ruck/Fwd link up again when you bring Naitanui in later on.

FWIW I go for overall.

Ringo

Why not just have Rowe in the forward line as protection. If Berger starts to gain cash and is named just keep him until ready to fatten and then move Cox back to forward when you want too.  Allows JJK to fatten as well.  That is the strategy I will be adopting. Cox, Berger, Blicavs, Currie in Rucks with Rowe forward.  Emergency rucks will be dependent on those named.

I reckon its too risky starting cox and berger alongside each other. You're really relying on berger performing as there is really no other ruck around his price worth sideways trading to.

You could even do the reverse of my strategy. Start leuenberger with say maric and cox in forwards. If berger doesn't work out, instead of being stranded with limited 300k ruck options you can sideways him to the best performing forward midpricer and move cox into rucks.

Same here. Got Maric and Berger in the rucks, Cox in fwd line. If leuey goes down, then get Cox in the rucks and bring in a cheap forward. If he doesn't, then trade to NicNat when the time is right. Unless of course he is giving me 100+ every week  :P
