The last person to get 200 was Dunstall in the 80's. He did it three times that year (1992, kicked 138 goals) Buddy is not at that level. Perhaps no one ever will be.

As to your second point, I can give a legitimate reason to question whether he'll score 200, or even 145+. He has only done it once in his career, whereas he scored 81 or under 7 times in 2012 alone. Basic probability.

So a 26 year old cannot improve?
Nroo hit his peak of 106.5 at 27
Pav hit his of 102 at 26
Dunstall hit his at 112 aged 28
Ablett Snr hit his peak at 112 agaed 32 and also hit a 200+ score that year

We can't compare Buddy to these legends because he is only halfway through his career. But we are talking about the guy that kicked 100 goals as a 21 year old....
In that year he kicked 9.5 against Essendon. A DT score of 138. Also had 0 frees for but 4 frees against.
He also had a 8.6, an 8.2 and another 8.6 that year.
If only he had been more accurate.

So Stewy & Jukesy won't have Buddy in their Teams this year.Ok.
Tbh facts are facts and what ifs are plain useless imo.
We all give opinions based on our own selections and thoughts.
Everyone can dig up stats for their opinions being + or -'s.
When it comes to decisions on premos i will just stick with the facts.
So,King go with your gut feeling.
Probably fair enough. And I will have Buddy in my team, I'll just wait until his price drops a bit  ;D

Im still 50/50 on starting him, my biggest concern not starting him will not being too greedy with his price.
Because of his huge ceiling i can see some getting caught ouy, hoping to save a few extra grand and bang another 160+ score
Buddy's highest score is his 200, his next highest is 144. HE DOESN'T GET 160+ SCORES!!!
My point is his got a huge ceiling, bring him in will take some good timing so you don't miss out on those big scores.
It's not inconceivable that buddy wont have a scores of 160+ this year just because he's only done it once before. He's got the ceiling as shown by that 204 he scored.

essendon2

I'll try and bring him in by Round 8, if not, I'll bring him in after Hawks' bye

zorko starts with dogs, crows, gc, north, dees
buddy starts with cats, eagles, pies, freo

thats why.

+1. I'm picking premos based on 1) some NAB Cup form and 2) Easy early fixtures. That makes Zorko a lock.

Spanner221

There is also the contracts talk which looms as a possibility for a Cloke like decline. Want to see how he is going first, but doesn't he play a bunch of week teams after round 7?

KingJB

I see iv asked a very debate worthy question! Iv decided ill be starting Zorko and will get buddy in by about round 6-7 like I said with two trades a week you can just about do as you please minus injuries cause its a use or lose situation iv started Bolton cause round 1-2 he will hopefully kill it people might not agree but that's how you try to get an edge. I can quite easily swap him to buddy after round 3 with the hopeful price see saw in my favour
Thanks guys for the help!
Plus I'm a lions fanatic so the more the merrier! Haha
