Spudlett is, as the nickname suggests, a spud. Trade him to Boyd.

Murphy has been very poor this pre-season, get him out to the similar priced Swallow or Dangerfield or up to Stants.

Leuey injury cloud. Take him out if not named r1.

Confident that Lee/Neade will be sufficient cover for SJ round 1? If you were to "downgrade" LeCras to Karnezis you could upgrade one of Lee/Neade to Patton, Varcoe etc.

Would much prefer Belly or Kruze to Goldstein at this stage.

Would go Jones over Viney. Viney has barely played this nab and when he has he's produced below expectations. Jones meanwhile tonned up yesterday and has much greater JS.

Does preseason matter that much with a star like Murphy?

Yeah, I'm worried about Leuey but I can't afford to upgrade him... Are either of the benchies good enough cover?

I'm considering swapping Stevie J for someone but not sure who... What's Karnezis like? Is it too much of a problem to have three Brisbane forwards?

What's wrong with Goldy...?

Just go into every p&t topic that mentions midfield premiums. You'll see. Won't average 115+.

Pre-season matters with every player. Murphy has not played good nor scored good.

I'd get Daw in over Witts. One of Daw and Currie will play every week, often at the same time.

Having many of the same team in the same position isn't bad as long as they're good selections. Karnezis should average 80+ for sure...averaged 124 points per 100 minutes in the first three weeks in the NAB cup then got 81 in three quarters before being subbed off in the final. Lock him in.

Pretty decent team LH  8) just afew suggestions

Backs: No problems here similar to most teams.

Mids: Very strong with 5 premo's and good rookie selections. Like Lids over Cotch as a good POD. Not sold on Murphy had him locked all pre season but so far hasn't really shown much other than he still can't handle a tag.

Rucks: Interesting pick with Goldy, under alot of pressure to hold his spot this season and can see him being in and out of the squad on a regular basis imo. Berger is also injured and fighting to be fit for round 1. Even if he is named i can't see him having much of an impact and scoring well. Personally i would steer clear.

Fwds: SJ is out rnd 1 so maybe a swap to robbo or chappy? Think Karnezis is a must this year, has had a ripper of a pre season. Personally i don't think having 3 Brisbane forwards is a problem, some teams have swan,pendles and beams and they all score well together so shouldn't be an issue. Having Macaffer at f6 is abit of a worry, if he's named round 1 then it's all good but you wouldn't want to be relying on lee or neade as cover.

Overall a pretty decent side with some great picks, Just fix up the rucks and the team should look alot stronger :)

Nothing is wrong with Ablett.

You cannot call him a spud, it's not logical and it has no reasoning behind it, it's simply untrue/slander. I'd pick him and with confidence.  8)

Solid team Lahug, not keen on Murphy at all anymore. I'd rather Selwood...

Looks a good team LH, very strong all round.

In response to your question, I'd look at swapping Leuey to Longer if he's not named round 1 - Longer looked great in the NAB final and should be holding down the #1 ruck spot while the Berger is out. Then it's a simple straight swap to get Leuey back in when he's fit! (might even make some cash out of it ;))

I'd also swap Goldy for either Bellchambers or Kreuzer 8)

As others have stated I would also consider either downgrading Leccy to Karnezis, letting you upgrade Neade -> Patton/Petterd, OR maybe even use some of that cash to UPGRADE Goldy to a Maric or someone!

Longer should get a run first up had a good nab cup, swap him for the burger and when burger is back just swap then back over if he takes his place in the Brisbane side

Any reason to ditch Bartel, other than to generate cash?
Considering Belly to Maric if I can get the cash. Who else should I consider?
