I think it pretty much already is a signature. Don't really think we need much else.

Signatures you can change the font/colour etc. It goes below your box that you just replied in and you can make it go to one end or in the middle. It's a standard thing in forums these days and I don't see many forums that do not have signatures..

but there is nothing stopping you writing your own signature after every comment you make

hehe that was me!  ;D

Yeah now that i come to think of it; if you had it implemented, there would be such a range that would clutter the site a lot.
This is a simple forum and does its job :)
