Just found this on SuperCoach Paige (facebook page):

"Matthew Leuenberger played in the reserves today, dominating all facets and is over the back stiffness and calf complaints that caused him to miss two NAB Cup games. He is right back in contention for round 1!"

Lol now what? Will people get him if he's named for round 1?

antman

Yep if he is named he is in my team

colmullet

ahhh jesus christ, either be 100% or be injured, make up your mind ya big tall headache!!!

Patriot Manhattan

Nope, too many question marks over his fitness. Even if he is named round 1 I wouldn't trust his body to hold up for the whole season.

FFS,

People have had to restructure there team totally to deal with the loss Leuenberger now there's freaking news he might be back. I reckon i'll just leave him you don't want to find out last minute he's not playing when you've already locked in half your team and you can't restructure it.

timtim

F_ck it.

I give up.

Going to play soccer instead.

Colliwobblers

he doesnt need to be 100% ready or at 100% output he just has to play every week and build up to be elite like he was.

if named round 1 he is back in my team, at teh price 60-70 will do for a few weeks as i can gain those points with the money i will spend on other posititions

and the bonus i have a great cash cow/keeper from day 1 and save myself the trade i would have used bringing him in if he came in round 2 or 3 and played two solid games....

can't be sure until teams for round 1, but looks like the teams all change again.

It depends if you can deal with the Berger scoring average (60-80) the first month or two.

Using DPP it comes down to Leuenberger (300k) and Josh Kennedy (also 300k)
I think Kennedy will score more early so he is probably the more worthwhile pick

Knowall

Even if hes named wont he most likely be named alongside Longer and Martin.   So, probably wouldnt be worth it anyway.

However if hes named with just one of the two other ruckman ill rush him back in

Presto

Yes, he either will get back to be the premium that he is, or will get me enough money for an upgrade, meanwhile the money I save, is better used somewhere else.

I know, so annoying.

ando_10

Due to structure if he is named he will be in my side 100% might even roll the dice for number 1 ruck on goldy aswell after his efforts on the weekend will save some coin

But because he can be a potential keeper, you could essentially be getting 2 keepers for $850k rather than 1 keeper and 1 mid-pricer for the same amount.

Doesnt need to hold up for the whole season. just needs to last long enough to make cash and upgrade to NicNat
