Matthew Leuenberger played in the reserves today, dominating all facets and is over the back stiffness and calf complaints that caused him to miss two NAB Cup games. He is right back in contention for round 1!

BRISBANE had further cause for celebration over the weekend with ruckman Matthew Leuenberger playing half a match in the reserves.

Leuenberger's start to the season was under a cloud after he suffered back stiffness and calf soreness following the game against GWS in Wagga Wagga two weeks ago.

He did not play against Collingwood the following weekend and was not considered for the NAB Cup  final, putting his availability for round 1 in doubt.

But the back ailment has cleared and he emerged from the practice match unscathed.

Leuenberger, who suffered a series achilles injury in 2012 to miss all but three games, will resume full training this week.

With the split round it gives him until the 30th to get himself right .. hopefully he can make his way back into my team

Ricochet

Some will be taking a massive gamble this week if they decide to replace Leuey with a Bomber, Eagle, Docker or Crow.

Think ill still go a premo in his place ..wait n see ..if he goes well ill downgrade the premo before he goes up

Bones Bombers

He won't be in my rd1 side.
Once I know he's right he may come in and Cox will move forward.

better to start without him and he does well to start with him and he spuds up

because then you can downgrade to him, rather than not having the money to upgrade him

Colliwobblers

tending to agree with essendon2 but probably start him in the other comps just not DT, no need with the trade situation but i will have a plan to bring him in as early as start of round 3 pre price rise.

this is a good middle ground, set for a big year smith you may not want to get him out :)

timmyparso

Anyone prepared to risk a Berger/Smith R1/R2 combo. Could realy set you up for the year if it pays off.
