Has looked good in the Nab cup, many people jumping on? Pearce Hanley!

Jukes

Heppell is priced similarly and will average up to 10 more. Easy choice.

Essendon supporter?? Heppell was very up and down last year.

Good guess. He's bias.

In my opinion (take note Jukes) Heppell will average more by seasons end but I'm starting Hanley due to a kinder early draw.

Jukes

He's had a huge pre-season and has been guaranteed more midfield time...absolute lock.

Windigo

I'd go with Heppell. Hanley will still throw in the absolute shocker.... :-\

Ricochet

only based on early fixture I'm locking in Hanley

essendon2

Hm do we think  a 2 Gun DEF is too weak ?  :P

I had tried it but just worried that come rounds 3+ a rookie that starts round 1 might get dropped straight away
A bit like Clay Smith last year

Colliwobblers

Like the look of Hanley, but like Hep B better maybe even duff and birchall without suckling in the side

Hanley has also had both those things and he's cheaper. Why isn't he an 'absolute lock'.

Sure he is less consistent but if you're going for overall than it matters far less. On the flip side you can look at how many tons they scored. Heppell only hit the ton twice in his 20 matches last season (10% of the time) while Pearce racked up seven tons in his 22 matches! Thats 32% of games Hanley is going out and chalking up a midfield premium like score!

Bottom line is, he has his cons sure. But what player doesn't? I have plenty more stats I COULD rip out but I won't and will let you fellas decide for yourselves ;)

Sweetness

I dug this up from when I posted in his profile months back:

Brisbane have one of the best starting draws next year.
I'll list the first six teams they play next year, along with Hanley's corresponding score vs that opponent in 2012.

Bulldogs          134, 109
Adelaide          94
Gold Coast      102, 87
North Melb       96
Melbourne       120, 120
Sydney           119

Average = 109.0     8)

I still can't decide if I'm starting him though......

I have Pearce at present, he's flying in a team that's super hungry and full of confidence! Will dominate this season!

+1

I've got Pearce in my Fantasy Elite team but I've got Broughton at the moment at D4... Pearce might not be bad but might downgrade to Jordan Russell

its me lads

Have had Hanley locked in since DT opened, seriously questioned it at times but im sticking with him. For the record i have Heppel aswell
