Hi all,

Rate my team, and I'll rate yours (remember to post the link).
Appreciate any suggestions and advise.

Thanks :)

DC13

DEF: Like it, got the basic goddard and gibbs who are must haves and good choice in Duffield who should be in for a big year without broughton around. Like the pretty much unique pick of grimes who I havnt seen in many sides recently, had him in many times, should push his average up to 95-100 hopefully if he plays a lot of midfield. Good choice of rookies. 9/10

MID: Really really like the uniqueness of this midfield, could really pay off! only thing I could pick out about it is not having swan/pendlebury. Boyd and Jack should both score really well around 115+ and Shuey is definitely ready for a huge year. Maybe get rid of one of the Defence DPP's (id go Colquhoun) as you only need 1 and can get a better scoring midfield rookie. 9/10

RUCK: Taking the risk with Leuy?? Not sure if thatll pay off or not, will be a great cash maker but his early missing game and slow scores as he gets going will put you behind. Like the Ryder choice, should play well this year as mainly a forward as belly takes #1 ruck role. Maybe find some cash somewhere and upgrade Leuy! 6/10

FWD: Good choice with the 4 premiums, I think Martin is in for a big year and also robbo under micks coaching, shown a fair bit of what his capable of in NAB. Only issue is having the rookie at F6, cant be guaranteed they will play and even if they do it probably won't be great. 8/10

Overall: Good team mate, really like the uniqueness, especially in the mids, good to see a different looking team. Little bit iffy on the Leuy choice and Neade being at F6, apart from that there aren't many faults at all, best of luck mate :) 32/40

I really like what you have here man.

I nearly can't understand how you can afford it. But that's where the weaknesses come in

You've gone with no mud prices in the fwd line. So your starting neade. Or lee or someone like that. That leaves you vulnerable but if your lucky it could work out in the end. Would be lucky. Also your relying on leuey to be ok. If leuey doesn't come up rnd 1 go robbo to Kennedy/karnezis and leuey to a belly/griffin/kruez/goldy

Also you've saved money on your prem mids. By having cotchin as r2

You need Murphy over Boyd or jack. And maybe shuey to fyfe could get you a mid priced fwd? Or a pendles/swan/danger

But 14 keepers not including leuey is is a good starting team! But maybe not a great finishing team with Boyd and shuey and jack all in your mids. That's a risk. You want your mids pulling 120's if not 115. Good luck :)

Mostly agree with DC13, I also like the uniqueness of your midfield and the concern over Leunberger. However, you, like many others, have a real belief that all of your rookies will be playing. Port have Gray, Cassisi, Monfries, Ebert all to come in over the next 2-3 weeks, so I can't see them playing the rookies. Also, Paparone and Rowe are long shots.

Noone has bothered to rate my team, so I guess take what I say with a pinch of salt, but I have gone with players that I am certain will get games and lift in value. Is a long season and no new teams to get easy rookie price rises this year.

Have rated your team, you can have a look :)

Now,
Mid: Boyd, IMO, should do really well. Jack is playing GWS and GC as the first 2 games, so he should get 120+ in each. That will mean his price will rise, then i can get in someone like Pendlebury for him. Shuey is set to have a great year. and if i do take Colquhoun out who should i get for him???
Ruck: how about leuy to daw then have currie as R2 and daw as bench. Currie has done really well in the NAB Cup. Thoughts?
For: If i do downgrade leuy, upgrade neade for varcoe/Karnezis, thoughts??

Thanks for all the suggestions. :)

Thanks for all the advise, THIS IS MY UPDATED TEAM (all those who provide links to their teams, have all been rated by me) :)

CHANGES

Def: Same as before
Mid: K.Jack ---> O'Keefe, Shuey ---> Fyfe (to free up cash). I think fyfe's value will go up heaps (he's hell cheap now), then i could trade him to someone like pendlebury. And same with O'keefe, he is playing GWS and GC as the first 2 games so he should score 120+ in both. That will mean his price will go up and i can then trade him to a better premium.
Ruck:: Leunburger ---> Daw (now i have 3/4 rookies. Currie has been in good form so i put him on field. If this combo doesnt work, ill swap Cox and Rowe, so ill have cox and ryder in my ruck and rowe in the forward line)
For: Macaffer --> Varcoe, Neade ---> Karnezis

Any suggestions or advise, please let me know, thanks :)

Like your changes. Except I had Paparone and Ringo (Brisbane supporter) said he won't play round one. I think JJ Kennedy is better the Varcoe but your choice.

I like this changed team it is really strong, except for the rucks which really need change. I'm not sure that Currie is going to be playing every week and Goldstein is miles ahead of him in the pecking order down at North. I like the few uniques in the midfield with Boyd and O'Keefe. Forward line is very strong except for Paparone, he doesn't fit into the Lions' best 22. Get in Macaffer instead.

Your mids look a little week.  You could probably afford to downgrade Duffield or Grmes to a rookie and put some of the cash into upgrading O'Keefe.

Your rucks are interesting.  I like the idea and I think this is a line you can take a risk on but my personal opinion is if your going to do the 1 & 3 strategy you need the one to be a super prem like Maric.  I just don't know that Ryder is going to be consistent enough for that structure.  Your forwards look fine.

Could you have a look at mine.

Like the team. Good structure EXCEPT I think backs a little too strong and mids a little too weak.

I would downgrade Grimes to a rookie. With the cash i would get a Swan/Pendlebury/Selwood/Watson/JPK or even 2. Boyd is better suited to DT. He gets heaps of it but disposal efficiency is crap. so is his team. Same goes for Robinson(the efficiency I mean). O'Keefe COULD pay off early but doesn't ususally get elite midfield averages. If he stays in the middle a lot more then yes.

Any cash left could upgrade a ruck. or even A rookie > Moloney for a strong midfield. Please look at mine? (this page)

Looks really good. A little bit weak in the rucks. Love the fwd like with Karnezis and Varcoe ! Have a look at mine mate if you have time !
