Gone with a shallow backline considering the performances of Pittard,Stevenson,Terlich and Colquhoun today

Leuenberger is too expensive to be a bench player. I assume you will move Cox forward when Leuy starts playing but I don't like it.

Exactly my strategy but why don't you like it. I thought it through and the only difference between Cox being in the forwards and rucks is my week 1 team is the difference in which rookie I field and personally I believe Macaffer will score better than Currie

Defence:  Looks weak, I think your one premium short.  I can see the methodology but I'm not sure you will get enough out of the playing rookies to offset that.  I also think that if you're going to have Vlaustin you want to play him.  He's a lot of cash sitting on your bench.

Mids:  Look fine.  I like Shuey as a POD.

Ruck/Forwards:  I agree about having Leuenberger on the bench is too much cash not in use.  And given the emergence of Longer and Martin as well as his interrupted preseason I'm not sure he's as sure a bet as he was at the start of pre-season.  Your forward line looks extremely strong, I don't think you need both Cox and Franklin given who else you have in that line.  My advise would be to switch Rowe & Cox and start Cox in your forward line.  I'd then trade Buddy to a cheaper forward and use the cash to either upgrade Leuey to a premium Ruck or one of your rookie defenders to a premium and trade Leuey for another mid-pricer.

Would love for you to rate my team.  The most recent team is on page 2.

Backs: Too Weak here need a 3 premium here.
Mids: Strong Midfield.Like the pick of Shuey
Rucks: Very Solid although i prefer Cox up forward
Fwds: Fairly Sronrg wih 3 brisnane Lions on yoiur team

Ovrerall: Team is alrighr i think you need to strengthen your defence 7/10

Leuenberger is too much of a risk. He could easily get injured, or come back and really struggle and belt out 60's

Risky strategy with only 2 prem defenders - Means relying on 4 rookies playing each week until you get upgrades.

Berger - Is an enigma what to do and I can see your strategy Maybe only 1 round but as a Lions supporter you get concerned when in half a game he had a back strain and an ankle problem (different leg to the achilles as well),
Just see what happens in second week as he would have 3 weeks to recover.  Think it is a little much cash to have on pine if he is out for more than 2 weeks.

When I look at team I see 13 keepers here which is what most coaches will have at this stage so not as bad as what is made out.  Just using a different Strategy and Structure and you have to take calculated risks to get the cheese,
