I'm stuck on this one, with Berger unlikely for round one now. He needs to go, my two options are two either downgrade or upgrade him. No worth mid pricer. Obviously Currie is a big risk, but the extra cash in the bank allows flexibilty in terms of upgrading that error, plus I'm finding it hard to part with Yarran haha, Option two, can be Goodes or any other rookie in defence really, and Jacobs, a sure bet.

Comments always appreciated.

Purely off your options then Goodes / S.Jacobs is a no brainer.

Jacobs (2012) outscored every defender in the league (2012), so even if Yarran breaks out, he would have to surpass Goddard and Shaw to give you the points you're locking in for S.Jacobs. When you risk it, fixing the mistake will never get you those lost points back.

Then consider Currie vs Goodes. JS alone dictates you go for Goodes.

Thanks mate, I was leaning that way, just had Yarran in my side since day one. He may be the unlucky one, opionions on the best rookie priced defenders? I have Terlich, Pittardand Docherty atm.

Those rookies are up there with the most popular so you're looking good there until R1 teams are named.

Jacobs combo for sure. Had Yarran in D4 for months but he seems to b copping a lot of attention and I don't think he will raise his average as much as first thought.

Yeh, I'd noticed he copped a tag on the weekend.

What were you planning on doing with the 200k if you went option 1

The plan was that I didn't want to lose Yarran but also didn't feel there was a worthy mid price replacemtn in the ruck, therefore just spare Berger, keep Yarran, effectively have 31 trades with the 200K sitting there, then have flexibilty early on to upgrade Currie or a young midfield rookie.
