Is Zac Smith worth a punt??

Im looking at using Zac Smith at R2, with Maric at R1 and Cox in the fwd line.

He is super cheap and we know that he will be a gun at some stage. He struggled last year, but impressed everyone in 2011.

I also have Rowe at R4 and Currie at R3, so i have a bit of cover too.

Does anyone think that this could be his 'breakout' year and be worthy as a keeper?

Yes, ruckmen generally take several years to hit peak efficiency.  He should do all right but next year and onwards is when he'll really start to dominate.

With the new ruck rule, this guy will benefit the most from all ruckman (barring Nic Nat) he's an athletic freak.
He has been playing against men for four years now (2 years in VFL and 2 in AFL), he's ready to step up and average close to the ton now.

he should make a lot of cash and be easily upgraded to nic nat for like 50K
