Possible ruck solution

What to do with Leuenberger has been doing my head in, but finally came up with this idea:
Zorko-->Karnezis
Berger-->Griffin

With Sandi injured, Griffin should kill it early, and hopefully rise in price a bit.
Now, I'm not sure how long he will be out for, but my plan is to wait until NicNat comes back and plays a couple of games and (hopefully) drops in price a bit. This should mean almost a straight swap of Griffin-->NicNat once NicNat bottoms out.

The reasoning for this is that I plan on getting NicNat at some point anyway, and this seems like the best way to do it. If anyone has any info on him, that would be great.  :)

My current rucks and forwards are;
Ruck: Goldy, Berger, Currie, Rowe
Fwd: Cox, Rocky, Zorko, SJ, Robinson, Macaffer, Neade, Lee

And also, not aiming for the $50k, so not fazed by SJ being out R1 as I don't want to waste a trade on him so early.

You get two trades per week regardless so "wasting a trade" on Stevie j does not make sense !

tor01doc

Maximum 2 per week, but a limit of 30.

This is SC, not DT.

I'm worried about Zac Clarke getting the gig

Would Bellchambers be a better option as opposed to Griffin then?

tbagrocks

Yes, Griffen would need to be traded, Belly is on the cards for me

Well, the whole point of this is that I'm going to trade someone to NicNat as soon as he's fit and firing. So it's basically who will be the best option for the first few rounds or so. Not supposed to be a keeper.

I can't see NicNat dropping enough in price for a straight trade with anybody priced circa $500k or less unless you plan to hold around $50k in reserve. Of course, you'd still be wise to choose a cheap ruck who's likely to increase in value to make the trade easier but I'd plan on having to downtrade out one of your rookie ruck options to complete. If you get the straight trade, think of it as a bonus.

Sandi may come back before rd 3, based on that, get on Bellchambers.

Well I have $190k atm after going Zorko to Karnezis and Berger to Bellchambers. Will probably use some of that to change Robinson into Buddy, so should have around $50k once the season starts. I don't mind if it's not a straight swap, just means that if I do a downgrade as well, I'll probably come out of it with even more cash. Thanks for the advice :)

Would prefer someone like Martin who will play every week

Why don't you bring Roughead in for S.Johnson. That way Currie can take the R2 spot, saving you cash. If for whatever reason he struggles or doesn't get a game swing Roughead in the ruck for Rowe and bench Currie?

I think SJ will have an average in the top 6 forwards by the end of the year, and have Cox there anyway, who I could always switch.
Not playing Currie at R2, pretty sure Scott says he will only be playing 1 ruck, so that means Currie is likely to miss out on quite a few games unless Goldy gets injured.
But yeah, could put Cox in the ruck, which would mean I could get any forward for under $500k I think.
