do you guys actually know how fast neade is?

cause I looked his stats up, and he isn't overly impressive for short distance spritns- didn't even make the top 10 in the 20m sprint (10th place was 2.93, neade ran 2.96 apparently), which (since I only have access to the top 10 results), would have placed him around 15th at an estimate.

That's 14 kids at the draft camp alone who were faster over a short distance than him. 

In the nicest way possible, just because he's small and aboriginal, doesn't mean he'll necessarily be the quickest bloke on the field.

I'm not talking him down, 2.96 is still really fast, but it's not a speed that is unobtainable, and you'd think there'd be at least one bloke in close to every club who'd be able to match that.

Now Carlile, Trengove, Jonas, Heath, Pittard and Stevenson we are slowly building a strong defensive core.

Jonas is very underrated. Throughout the preseason and in Rd 1 he only had a max of one goal kicked on him. Rd 2 he had 2, and he did very very well against the 2nd best (if not the best) key forward in the game. Only had 2 kicked on him again yesterday, and stopped Walker around the ground. Was brilliant. :)


As for Neade, what a touch to get that soccer goal. ;) Like what we wanted Rodan to be, but Neade has a defensive side to his game.

+1 but I think Rodan was just at the point where he'd had too many LARS op's and is in the deep twilight of his career.
