is the big pav ready? who has the inside scoop?

jfitty

He took the field on the weekend so no reason why he won't line up for round 1. Just a matter of how he will go with a limited preseason!

Hagebear

No doubt he'll start rd 1 but I won't be starting with him. Hoping due to his limited preseason he'll drop abit in price and will be a tasty upgrade ;)

CFC 1979

read he's fit as a fiddle

seriosly thinking about him

fever

yeah, will be monitoring

quinny88

too expensive for a guy thats hardly had a pre season. Will be an upgrade target

Southstorm

Better starting options than Pav IMO

Pav's on the back end of his career... His averages are only going to drop from here on out.. No point selecting him to lose you $$$.

2010: 99.3
2011: 105.7
2012: 111.1

not sure i agree with you

freo im tipping will lift next year and should be top 6.  Im not starting with him but thats more because i think there are other better picks with more upside, PAV still a good pick and will be in my squad at some stage.

He is still a great player and will score well. But he will drop on that 111 average, Therefore wont be worth his price. There is no value for money in picking him. He may be an upgrade option later on in the year but, say when he drops 60 or 70k. Or if you can pick him up at a real slump..

I expect Pav to get off to a flyer.

I also want to point out that it took Freo half a year to get used to Lyon's game plan. From the byes, Pav averaged 127.7.
I expect him to start slowly due to a modified preseason but he is a superstar so I wouldn't at all be surprised if he went bang from RD1.

Pav is an interesting one. At a price that puts me off. I want Buddy and can't afford the Pav. Think Rockliff as a forward is too good to pass up as well. Lots of good ruck/fwd possibilities this year too. All of these reasons are squeezing the Pav out of most sides. He will probably score well again in 2013 but will be an upgrade target for me if he's doing well and has a nice price dip at the right time.

Am strongly considering him in place of Buddy as a unique starter, but will wait til I can see what he scored in the match against the dogs... I don't think he'll quite make it for me...
