It's isn't compulsory for another team to make an alliance with you so he can turn it down. Seeing as it will mean another team gets points, fair enough if they want to get ahead on the membership points ;). No idea how it disadvantages his Euro's team though :P.

So this means you get 20 extra membership points in 2014 when you play Dublin. This could be make or break when you verse Dublin and if I made Dublin lose then how dumb do I look?

A flowering good reason IMO. Why would I want other teams to beat the team I am a part?
