Split Round 1

Anyone else concerned about the r1 split round? This will make it hard for locking in rookies because you wont know who will be named for the 2nd half of that round when having to lock rookies for the first games.

Example if your tossing up between Vlaustin from Richmond or saving cash with Stevenson from Port you will have to make this decision without knowing if Stevenson will be named.

Thoughts?

Aren't the only games in the first week Adelaide v Essedon and West Coast v Freo? That doesn't seem too bad with a few rookies available... The same thing happened last year and you just have to go with your gut. If a rookie is named as playing though I will be jumping on and not hoping that some other kid who I'm unsure about may get a guernsey

When i look at it a little more closely its really only Crows v Bombers and Eagles and Freo that will be first before knowing all other teams as the Thursday game we should have all teams by it starts but Sunday matches will still be extended bench.

Thankfully i dont have many rookies from the first teams apart from Crouch with Kommer the only other i'm watching.

With the rolling lockout you can change and trade players up to the start of each game can't you? If so final teams including the sub are posted about hour before including late changes .If that is not so I would like some who knows for sure to clarify this thanks.

Thanks I'm not a fan of rolling lockout myself but it is what it is . And it does not matter if it is a split round or not because of it.
