Just posted this in Jays thread but would also like some different opinions
Looking at Maric and Jenkins ruck setup I have Cox in my forwards already
Thoughts on these players Mayne and Newnes they both have had fantastic preseasons.

Maric & Jenkins setup seems pretty good. If Jenkins starts really horribly chuck him on the bench & bring Cox in. the one thing you have to do with this type of midpricer is give them a few weeks to warm into the season before they start scoring you 90s & 100s. I would do that if i had cash and needed some more space for cash elsewhere. I love Newnes as a player but I don't think at 300k you would get any value out of starting him. I see him as possibly averaging 65-70 but that's not worth it at his price. I think Mayne is a decent scorer but you won't get much value out of him. You would be better to get 40k more and jump on Martin.

I'm seriously considering Duffield. No doubt he is a gun SC scorer but he plays for the anti-SC Christ in Toss Lyon. Will he screw us all again and use Duffield as a foward tagger mid-year??

I would not get any players from Freo except Fyfe & Pavlich (Who is injury effected ATM). With all the good Defender options i don't think Duffield is worth it even with his decent history.

I like Bartel and think he is a real smokey in SC. Always been very effective.

Would having Rockliff, Zorko and Karnezis be too many bris players? What should i do to my FWD line? I can use the $$ from Karnezis and should I keep Buddy?

I'd downgrade Buddy to Walker & upgrade Wright to Hawkins. Downgrade Stevie J since he is not playing round 1 to Varcoe. Thats what I would do.

I would put Rocky & Zorko 7 & 8 although they might sneak in. I could see Cox falling and if so Zorko comes in for me.
