Made this in photoshop, took a lot less time than I thought it would but had to stretch that over a couple weeks because a few players didn't have a photo taken yet haha

Review
Although injuries were hurting (captain Griffen, Hogan, Clarke, Seedsman, Thomas, Docherty and Jenkins all missing), plus Sheed took little part and Naitanui rested a lot after his injury-plagued 2013 season, the Spetsnaz fired through it's second straight round 1 victory under coach Jukes. Callan Ward stood up in the midfield, while new recruit taken way out at pick 82 David Ellard showed his class with 120. Fellow new recruits Jaeger O'Meara and Dyson Heppell also scored well, a great sign for the future of our midfield.

I look forward to it, a lot will depend on the ins and outs for us. Clarke should be back, scored 88dt on the weekend for Peel, idk about Griff though.

Would be backing Sao Paulo at this stage.

Review
2 and 0 for the Spetsnaz as we move our focus onto another tough challenge against Mexico City. A lot of players performed well-  May, Ward, Martin, Naitanui, Dunn, Vickery and Frawley were all in the best; the oldest of these players? 26. Captain Griffen was unspectacular, risking his captaincy for the future, while David Ellard did not continue his good start. Although the team got the win, they weren't very good and will look for much more power and consistency.

Harsh review for a team that just took down the Premiers :) but honesty is the only way to improve

Jukes

Long way still to improve for us, 140 just isn't good enough imo when you have supporting cast such as May and Dunn picking up big b&f votes. Aside from the players still to return (Clarke, Seedsy, JT, Dochers and Hogan), we hope to never see a captain score (63) or player score (39) again, aside from OOP. 140 is good enough on the day but not good enough in the grand scheme of things, only the sixth top score of the week, would have fallen to several other teams.

For example, if Griff hit his 2013 average and Ellard was replaced by Fletcher, we would have scored another 179 points, taking us to 158. We want that to be one of those once-in-a-month top scores.

tl;dr we did shower and they better pull their heads in next week. Ward very dominant, 14 out of a possible 15 b&f votes so far. Sinclair gets the inaugural WOG (worst on ground) medal.
Edit: only lost by 8 points and still scored ok, not as bad as previously thought.

Preview NEW FEATURE!
London are a pretty good side, especially with superstar captain Brent "GOAT" Stanton. We were very embarrassingly defeated by them a year and a two rounds ago, going down by just under FIVE goals. A lot has changed since then- captain Shane Tuck has retired, the blokes who picked up 5 votes and 4 votes have been shipped out, and only 4 of the players who played in that game are playing this round. We really need to win this one. Dyson Heppell makes his Spetsnaz captaincy debut, while Ward is the other co-captain, making his first captaincy appearance since round 6, 2013. Zac Clarke makes his long-anticipated Spetsnaz debut, alongside Josh Jenkins.

Our projected score for the week is 1540
Projected score breakdown: Shaw 95 [You da man], Dunn 90 [Robbed], Vlastuin 85 [Solid], Frawley 85 [Superstar], Heppell 110x1.5, Ward 140x1.5 [flowering spud I hate him so much], Griffen 110 [good], Simpkin 95 [flowering sub], Naitanui 105 [super spud], Martin 95 [Very close to predicted, good], Vickery 75 [Becomes Burbury 77, good], Jenkins 75, May 75 [Dead right pre-scaling haha what a gun], Clarke 105, Fletcher 75.

Spetsnaz Scores
D: H. Shaw 110, L. Dunn 68, N. Vlastuin 77, J. Frawley 131
M: D. Heppell (cc) 133, C. Ward (cc) 48x1.5, R. Griffen 102, D. Ellard 67 (J. Simpkin 38)
R: N. Naitanui 27
F: D. Martin 94, G. Burbury 77 (T. Vickery 25), J. Jenkins 122, S. May 76
U: Z. Clarke 92, J. Hombsch 46
Plus Jaeger O'Meara 105 who was mistakenly omitted but will be counted towards b&f.

London Royals (21.14.140) defeated Moscow Spetsnaz (21.10.136)

Review
1) would have beaten London any other week this season  ::)
2) why the flower didn't I name Jaeger. Even though it wouldn't have won it for us (I don't think), I was sure he was in.
3) Ward you're a disgrace
4) Nic Nat you're a disgrace
5) Need dem injured players back

ossie85

Yep, the Jaeger omission was confusing! Not adhering to team rules?

Jukes

Selector wrote his name messy on the team sheet and the coach read it as Fletcher :3

CrowsFan

How can you give someone a vote in the best and fairest if they didn't even play? That doesn't make sense.

Also if you have played JOM over Hombsch you would have won. Sorry

Jukes

It wasn't Jaeger's fault that he was forgotten, deserves the recognition.

Woops, thought JOM would replace Ellard :/

Preview
We've been awful two consecutive weeks, and we want a good score this week. With all the outs- Seedsman, Shaw, Docherty, Hogan and Vickery among them, we can't expect to win, but we want to be very competitive and maybe even sneak a positive boost ahead of next week's must win match against New York. We'll be looking straight at leadership group members Nic Naitanui and Callan Ward to redeem themselves after pitiful efforts last week. We want a score of 140 or more.
