Jayman, just further to the last post, I have loaded up with rookies in defence.  have currently Goddard, and choosing b/w Gibbs, Hanley and Hartlett for D2.  Armstrong at D3, then a list of options.

Stevenson, Terlich, Goodes, Brown all locked and there is also Pittard, Vlastuin, Colcohoun, Docherty, so just trying to get the best back rookies, which will generate cash.

picking the best 5 to go with and upgrade backs from there.

No worries bottlemart. If I were you I would consider dropped one of Swallow, Rich or Moloney NOT ABLETT for a rookie e.g. Viney

Then upgrade Armstrong to a premo

Can't bring myself to pick Varcoe, Byrnes, Knights, Gray (later), Lee (won't get games), Spangher (injured I think), no other rookies.

Not worth a look. Would prefer to go Gray or Lee over him, maybe even Byrnes... Consider Monfries?

Will not be consistent enough to be a keeper nor rise more than a rookie to be a cash cow.

I'm mainly going for leagues, but want to see how high I can get overall, and I have Berger in my team... The mids/rucks/fwds are thus (defence I won't change)

M:GAJ, Swan, Pendles, JPK, Mundy, Wines, K.Mitchell, O'Meara, (Crouch, Viney)
R: Jacobs, Berger (Rowe, Currie)
F: Buddy, Cox, Rockliff, JJK, Varcoe, Karnezis (Byrnes, Macaffer)

Now, do I hold Berger and hope for a round 2-3 start, leaving the team as it is? I have Cox to switch into rucks using Rowe but as he's already played this week it leaves me kinda stuck.
The other option I was thining is Byrnes > Neade and Swan > Murphy, which gives me cash to go Berger> Goldstein (or Mumford/Kruezer/Giles - Minson and up too much).

I'm still sorely tempted to take the punt and leave Berger in, as if Rowe keeps playing he could be just as good a bench option as Neade (Once swapped with Cox).

I'm thinking of trading out Leuenberger if he's not named this week.  My other rucks are Maric, Blivacs & Rowe with Cox as my number 1 foward.  I currently have $94,600 in the bank  so I can afford any ruck man under &395k.  Can you help me with what I should do with my R2 spot.

Also I'm still unsure about my forward rookies.  I currently have Neade & Lee with Macaffer at F6.  Do you have any forward rookie recommendations?

If I were you, I would keep Berger. If you are just going for leagues then I'd be sure he will be lining up for your first round. Another thing to consider now is that Rowe has not been named. Would you consider downgrading Byrnes --> Neade and using the cash elsewhere e.g. Varcoe? That's what I would do...

If you have under 400k to spend then I recommend keeping Berger. No other options in that price range represent better value than him. Just take Blicavs' round 1 score and then enjoy the Maric/Berger combo from then on.

Neade and Macaffer are both locks due to actually having a place in their club's best 22. If you need another one then Dwyer looks like he may get named. Just take whoever gets picked :)

Yes I still think Mitchell is a rookie lock. Shouldn't be sub and will rack up the disposals. His elite endurance running should mean he can rack up a decent SC score even though his disposal aint the best.

I would probly rank them as: Stevens, Whitfield, Jones, Toumpas... Think Toumpas' with his dodgy hips and high price is not a great SC pick!
