Hey Jay, considering these options in my defence.

1. Goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, Grimes, rookie, rookie (rookie, rookie)

2. Goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, Myers, Armstrong, rookie (rookie, rookie)
First option mate. Less can go wrong and can't see Myers and Armstrong averaging high enough compared to a rookie to warrant not starting with the 4 prems.

Love your premium choices

Hey Jay,

In a predicament, Sam Jacobs and Dusty Martin vs Mumford and Tex Walker.

Both combos cost the same $$
I would take Mummy and Tex actually there mate. I think Mummy can return to 100+ form whereas I see Jacobs being a bit more consistent and durable but not having that ability to crack the huge score like Mummy can. And as far as I am concerned, Tex Walker is almost a lock - he is set for a huge year mate. Dusty is also a good pick but I can't pass up the 2013 Coleman Medallist ;D

Thanks to the mods for stickying this thread. Will update it every round and hopefully help some people out with their teams :D

No sticky for my thread.  :(
It would be pointless to have both of them as stickys tbh

I was just wondering if I could get some advise on my ruck & forward lines.  Currently I'm thinking of going for a riskier strategy with my rucks and a more solid forwards line:

Ruck: Smith, Leuenberger (Rowe, Currie)
Forward: Cox, Rockliff, Martin, Wright, LeCras, Karnezis (Macaffer, Lee)
Cash $1,600

But I could also look at downgrading one of LeCras or Karnezis to get Franklin or upgrade Smith or Leuenberger.  Would love your advise on this.

RUCKS: Although risky, I see both Smith and Leuey worth the risks. Smith has a crazy combination of size and athleticism which is sure to come in handy with the new ruck rules, as I am told. Leuey is one of the biggest bargains of SuperCoach if he gets back to career best form, watch him start slowly but work his way into it during the season. Consider Jenkins also if you want a mid-price ruck strategy - I see him having a great year in the KT role. I am actually considering a Maric/Currie ruck combo at a similar price to Smith/Leuey... Some food for thought

FWDS: Prem. choices are solid but would look to offload Wright, as he looks to have found himself a role tagging this year - Mitch Robbo is at a similar price if you're keen? I like your mid-price picks of LeCras and Karnezis - especially LeCras, not sure why he is not in more teams, look for him to kick bags and run through the midfield. Karnezis seems to have found himself a nice role in the Lions midfield.

Hope I helped :)

Hey J

Would you consider a cheap ruck squad to start with - like Lobbe / Leue / Currie / Rowe

With Cox fwd as a get out if needed.

Makes other lines look pretty good.

Nice sticky date too!

Hi Jayman

Is it ok to have Cox, Ryder and Roughead in my fwd line?

RUCKS:
Z.Smith, Luey (Currie, Rowe)

FWD:
Cox, Ryder, Roughie, JJK, Karnezis, Macaffer (Daniher, Lee)

B: Hibberd is too injury prone for my liking and if he goes down, is not a straight swap to a premium, extremely risky pick. Atley has been in my team but has not impressed this pre-season - Armstong is now my no.1 choice for 200-350k back...

M: I see you slipping down the overall ranks early with only 4 premiums. Would like to see a mid-pricer at M5. Good choices of prems and rookies though

R: Nice line. Both Maric and Smith are unique and will score well - especially Maric, he is worth the hefty price tag! Would like to see Rowe in there for DPP

F: Very deep line, love the fact no starting rooks. Have been trying to get a line similar to this

good team mate, all the best :)

kilbluff1985

thanks yeah i'm considering going Hibberd to Newman or Yarran but really like Hibberd

i think people need to think outside the square a bit more with mids i think my forward line and rucks more then makes up for not having a 5th mid and a rookie mid will outscore a rookie forward also and doesnt matter where the points are scored as long they are scored

luke_dicko

would you take the risk on essendon players considering they might be banned half way thru the year. ie jobe
