Rookie Promotion and Long Term Injuries

Hi all!

The season is fast approaching.

Each team has 4 rookies - who can only play if....

- You have a long-term injury
- You can't field a team for a certain position

... But what is a long-term injury?

Well if they say in this link (http://www.injuryupdate.com.au/afl-injury-list.php) that they are "Indefinite" or have a return date at least 6 rounds away, than that's how I define a Long Term Injury for World XVs....

So in order for you to promote a rookie, post who has the long term injury, and post in this thread BEFORE the next round starts.

The player with the long term injury can't play for at least 6 rounds (on the off chance he returns early, that's just unlucky), and once he is not injured again (is off the website or plays competitive football again) your rookie is demoted again...

Happy for people to suggest changes/tell me something I've forgotten!

Rookie Promotion

This one I've been thinking about, and still not sure...

In the representative round (Rounds 12-13) you are able to promote a rookie to the senior list permanately....

BUT....

You commit your last national draft pick for next season for this player AND you have to nominate a player that you will delist at the end of the year.

Sound ok?

And....

You can start promoting rookies for Round 1.... NOW.



List of Current Promoted Rookies

Mark Blicavs has been promoted to the Mexico City Suns Senior List due to an injury to Mark Nicoski. Nicoski can not be considered to play until Round 7 but if returns to football earlier than that Blicavs will be demoted to rookie again.


Aiden Riley has been promoted to the Sao Paulo Pumas Senior List due to an injury to Brendan Whitecross. Whitecross can not be considered to play until Round 7 but if returns to football earlier than that Riley will be demoted to rookie again.

Aaron Cornelius has been promoted to the Beijing Bears Senior List due to an injury to Tim Broomhead. Broomhead can not be considered to play until Round 7 but if returns to football earlier than that Cornelius will be demoted to rookie again.

George Burbury has been promoted to the Moscow Spetsnaz Senior List due to an injury to Shaun Higgins. Higgins can not be considered to play until Round 15 but if returns to football earlier than that Burbury will be demoted to rookie again.

Blaine Wilson has been promoted to the Cape Town Cobras Senior List due to an injury to Zac Smith. Smith can not be considered to play until Round 15 but if returns to football earlier than that Wilson will be demoted to rookie again.

Mark Austin has been promoted to the Cape Town Cobras Senior List due to an injury to Dale Thomas. Thomas can not be considered to play until Round 15 but if returns to football earlier than that Austin will be demoted to rookie again.

Dane Rampe has been promoted to the London Royals Senior List due to an injury to Stephen Wrigley. Wrigley can not be considered to play until Round 16 but if returns to football earlier than that Rampe will be demoted to rookie again.

Sam Grimley has been promoted to the Seoul Magpies Senior List due to an injury to Dawson Simpson. Simpson can not be considered to play until Round 17 but if returns to football earlier than that Grimley will be demoted to rookie again.

Darren Minchington has been promoted to the Berlin Brewers Senior List due to an injury to Tom Lynch. Lynch can not be considered to play for the remainder of the season but if returns to football earlier than that Minchington will be demoted to rookie again.

Tom Curren has been promoted to the Mexico City Suns Senior List due to an injury to James Strauss. Strauss can not be considered to play for the remainder of the season but if returns to football earlier than that Curren will be demoted to rookie again.

Brandon Jack has been promoted to the Mexico City Suns Senior List due to an injury to Shannon Hurn. Hurn can not be considered to play for the remainder of the season but if returns to football earlier than that Jack will be demoted to rookie again.

Well was thinking about promoting Riley from the rookie list to replace Whitecross, but going from that website he isn't injured. Which seems strange to me considering he did his ACL in the finals last year ???

Therefore Mark Blicavs and Aaron Cornelius return to the rookie list

This makes me laugh considering when he was auto picked for you you wanted to change him to someone else and now you are trying to find a way to get him on to your senior list :D

Sandi's return is listed as less than 6 weeks away, so he isn't eligible sorry maca

Also, any player put on list can't play for at least six weeks, even if they return early
