Broughton produced 7 scores of 100+ last year. Yarran scored 100+ only 3 times and averages 20 less.

Atley also scored 3 games of 100+ and averaged 10 less than broughton.

Broughton now plays for Gold Coast where he will command more ball.

Broughton will be premium - Yarran and Atley are bush scrubs.

As for my forward line -

This is a mid price strat where I will pick 4 players who will average around 80 - 90 and will all go up in value by 200K

I will then upgrade them.

Mid price forwards will play more and score more than forward rookies which are really rare this year.

Crouchy182

I like this team, my suggestion though would be to downgrade Broughton to a back rookie as there seem to be heaps and upgrade 2 of your fwd mid pricers. I may regret saying this but i think Brad Crouch will score just as well and play more games than Whitfield if you need to free up some cash. Just some food for thought.

DEF 3 def premos is nice, better options then broughton. Yaz/Atley will avg similar and are cheaper. vlaustin likely to get vested. 8/10

MID nice 4 super premo's all should go 125+, finally see you're on the Mundy wagon. looks a lot like my set up mate??
whitfield is an amazing player but he wont play that much, they've already said that he'll get limited games. 9/10

RUCKS standard. 10/10

FWD easily your weakest line. i know you dont really have any rookies/rookie players on the field but and you think that will compensate for the lack of premos but it doesnt. Le Cras is coming back from an LTI and will avg 90 MAX. then you have 3 cheap players who IMO wont avg no more then 80, unless you have them then for the quick upgrade. you'll fall behind very quickly. 6/10

overall 33/10, your fwd line is letting you down big time.

Rookies - most rookies will play limited games this year.... obviously.

a new role for yarran this year, will get his hands on the ball a lot more, increasing his avg.

you really think those guys will go up to 90?? what makes you say that??
your probably never heard of Karnezis before then LOL

cuz_crew

Karnezis played in the forward line last year and is now looking to move into the midfield. If he turns out to be bad then i trade him out for a performing rookie in the bubble.... there are so many trades this year so you should think about that.

got 30 touches last game. I expect him to average 75 - 80.

LeCras will average 80 - 90

Byrnes will average 75 - 80

Varcoe will average 80 - 90 if he plays as a defensive midfielder which has been tipped. (70 - 80 if he plays as a forward mid)

If Yarran performs well then I can always trade him in early....

Broughton is proven and has better chances of scoring high.

I like the idea of Crouch over Whittfield and Broughton to a rookie. Then I can upgrade LeCras to Franklin.

IMO that would make the team look much stronger.

I'm assuming you are not Crouch so why do you have so much man love for him?

Hey cuz,

Nice team.

I agree Broughton could go top 8 defender - plus DPP could be handy if you can find another - say Staker?? Later.

Just be mindful of round 13 guys - I know we have more trades but a little planning could help more than you appreciate with 30 trades in the bank.

If you can get Buddy, do it. Your fowrard line is pretty thin atm and yes, you'll make money, but with a lot of rookies making money as well, you might as well  save trades to cash them in when they are ripe.

Now go and be nice to others.

if you can think of a decent forward rookie who will play from round 1 then I'd love to hear it... I will trade them in straight away.

Each year i try to get behind a rookie i reckon will do well, i think he's a jet (for a rookie of course) and shares my last name whats not to love?

Look out fior Neade? If Kerridge plays then great as well.

Lee from St Kilda might get more of a look since I think a big St Kilda guy (Stanley) might be sore.

Looking forward to round one teams!!

Ringo

Nice Team Cruz.

Do not mind the strategy at all .

Only Issue I have really is LeCras at F3 but if you can upgrade to Buddy team is solid.  Would also consider downgrading one of the 3 midpricers to Neade to give extra cash if needed for Buddy. If you want to keep Le Cras may allow you to upgrade another mid pricer to Buddy.

eg Buddy, Cox, Bartel, LeCras mid pricer (Karnezis, Varcoe or Byrnes) McAffer (Neade, Kerridge)

Only Because of Le Cras at F3 Rate team 9/10
