Currie and Goldy won't play in the same team so this is not a realistic option at all unless Goldy gets injured

May be so but we can only wait and see. They did play Hmac, Goldy, Petrie so its not out of the question

Yeah and it didn't work so Goldstein got dropped. He was just lucky hamac got injured. Hamac could also go forward. Neither Goldy not currie are any good forward

Currie R2 = cheap and nasty.

Strongly advise against.

Which kinda surprises me Daw isnt the favoured choice at the Roo's tbh, Currie the better ruckmen  but Daw more damaging around the ground/up Fwd potentially. I know Daws carrying a knock so thats ruled him out for a couple of weeks but all the talks about Currie and i personally found it a bit strange, wondering if the coaching staff have lost a bit of faith in Goldy.

The SC faithful on FF certainly have.

Hard to blame them on his output so far, one good game and i think the faith would be restored. Ive not been keen from the get go tbh but mainly due to having Luey in and out as i decide which way to go with R1 and R2, with Luey in i think he and Goldy together is to risky but thats just a personal concern.

I wouldn't expect either of them to play round 1. I think Goldstein will play alone and play well but that's without really knowing what happens in the background. Scott did say that it was just to give Currie a game to see how he handles himself alone.
Daw is a bit of a flash in the pan. He took a nice grab and kicked a great goal in nab 1 but really did nothing in between. Currie is ahead but Currie and Goldy are to similar to play together IMO

If Leue is not ready, then a lot of teams who have The Goldberger are going to be I trouble if Goldy is suspect as well.

Hope they have some wriggle room, but most don't appear to.

It's simple for me. If Goldy is named round 1 as the stand alone ruckman ill pick him. If either daw or currie are named I won't. He doesn't play well when he has to share the ruck duties

i been considering Giles over Goldy

My theory is Currie at R2 is by no means designed as him being a keeper, he is simply one of the 5-8 starting on field rookies we have to have. Currently I would be more confident in currie getting more consistent game time than any forward rookie has shown so far. U can use your money saved on R2 to strengthen your F5 meaning mcaffer is the only rookie prices player you need to start in the forward line.

Theory 2 : historically R3&4 have never been employed as cash cows, basically  dead weight that sits on your bench and just hoping that one of them is picked the same weekend that one of your premos is out for whatever reason. If, and a big if, north go into games with 2 big men then clearly one of currie and daw will be playing each week. So starting with both may not be silly along with your premo and Rowe means it highly probable you'll always have 2 ruck man available. With cox/roughy/Ryder in your forward line as last minute insurance.

All theoretical until the big boys show us some form and can validate their selections. Rucks are definitely my biggest dilemma at present :(

It just won't work though jim.. Goldy and currie won't play in the same team because they are 2 of the same player with one string to their bow. Tap ruckman that don't impact forward. Currie is a lock for r2 if Goldstein happens to go down injured before round 1 but if not you could not start him there. I think Goldstein will line up alone in round 1. Daw and Currie aren't as certain a starters as you think

Fair point. Agreed. Like I said rucks are giving me most grief.

Ps. I noticed I have your sc ranking from last year on the side. How do I find that?
