You're only as good as your last game but to make decisions based on a single game is fraught with danger. I suspect this is what you've done in selecting Harry Taylor. He will be a unique selection and he may do reasonably well but I wouldn't put too much stock in his performance on the weekend.

Some other general points are that you'd be better off selecting players with M/F DPP status as forwards rather than midfielders because options are more plentiful in the midfield than the forward line and it's unlikely that Johnson or Rockliff will be in the top eight midfielders at the end of the season.

I also think you have too many mid-priced options. Taylor, Lake, Laidler, Moloney, Ball, Varcoe, Leuenberger, Hurley, LeCras, Kennedy all have some risk attached, either individually or as a group. By 'as a group' I mean that by selecting that many mid-priced options you are certainly going to find yourself struggling to score well consistently and you won't have enough cash cows to make you any money. Basically, your only real hope with a team like this is that the majority of those players become keepers.

+1
Cut the mid pricers down to at most 1 per line and grab some Guns and rooks for your side then we can do some serious tinkering

lozza71

Agree wth that.
Move rockliffe to forwsrd line.
Steve j is not pksying round 1.
Lake is injured and getting old will be rested during year.
Gokdstein in the vfl this weekend. Rubbish in the nab so far.
Hurley had more injuries thsn st vinnies hospital.
Varcoe moloney and ball too many mid pricers in your midfield. Gotts get some guns.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Would probably delete your whole team and start again!!! Maybe a 1/10 - pathetic !

lozza71

Its a bit better.
Still dont think lake is a good choice.
What about broughton ? Playing back and midfield. Or even atley.
You have 3 rucks from north. Not wise imo.
Put varcoe in foward line.
Get rid of hawkins or wslker and get another mid fwd. Ie robbinson. Wright. Zorko.
Ball hasnt played a game yet. Will be rusty. I personally waiting to see how he goes this saturday.

No Ablett - highest scoring player ever

No Buddy - highrest scoring forward

No Cox - highest scoring ruck (and now with the added bonus of DPP)

Interesting. Oh Buddy is in. Cool. That's better.

Lake - no.

Mitchell - not convinced - more DT type with ball butchering ability.

Stevens - is he fit?

Cheap Goldberger rucks seem a bit risky too.

Love your forward line though. Hang on to that.

Bartel will consistently average more than Hawkins...
