So who plays round 1?
Goldstein plays, we know that but what about Currie and Daw? Do they play?
I don't think you can play Goldstein and Currie in the same team. They are both tap ruckman that don't make much of an impact forward.
Daw would be more suited to play in the same team as Goldy but is he up to it? And as he would play at least 70% game time up forward, how would the forward line function with Petrie, Tarrant, Hanson and Daw.. Sounds to tall to me.

My curiosity is all based around my supercoach selections. Hoping you guys can give me an idea of who you expect to play in round 1 and beyond :)

roo boys!

I'd have to say just Goldy at this stage, despite his NAB Cup form being ordinary so far. Hansen and Petrie have both had their fair share of ruck worth in their time and can hold their own playing 10-20% as Goldy rests. So at this stage I'd say Daw and Currie just miss out but hard to tell at this stage I guess. I've got Currie on my bench if it helps at all as I believe as soon as Goldy goes down, loses form (touch wood) Currie will be the first to slot in and could even be the first choice if one of the tall forwards goes down. He'd be competing mainly with Black for that spot in the forward line and his ability to give Goldy a genuine chop out would certainly come into the equation IMO.

Hawka

I really hope Currie and Goldy!
But i agree with RB it will only be Goldy and Daw will probaly debut early too

Thanks Roo. Im also starting Currie on my bench regardless of weather he is named or not but Im more looking at the choice of starting Goldy or not. I will only start him if he is the only one named so points arent taken from him from the other rucks.

Holz

reports from the roos, goldy playing in the VFL and Currie will be the sole ruck for the roos. that means no daw either.

I dont like this at all, I wouldnt be too happy if I was todd, we messed around with him last year early, he is our future got to back him in 100% looks too much like we are hedging our bets.

Ziplock

well he's been really shower :P

Not a form issue they are doing it to see how currie can play without goldsteins help

antonc

Daw is playing. Just not listed as a ruck. Will help out around the ground.
Daw is a good chance to play this role imo helping out either currie or goldy.
Roos just have to figure out their forward line. I agree with Quinny playing all of Tarrant hansen petrie and black with 2 ruckmen would be a bit much. Although I think Hansen might go back again. They might alternate Tarrant and black and have Daw playing 3rd tall up forward. Good to see we still have plenty of good talls after losing Hmac and Pedo!!!!
