true, as long as you dont play good in our league match LOL  ;D

Yeah will try not to mate. The joy of working in an environment where you have time to read all about the players and stats. Just can't wait for te footy to start.  I've changed my team as you can see so many times. Deffinately set with this lineup and fingers crossed I do well. Speak soon mate and good luck as well in our league.

Back line: B.Goddard, B.Gibbs, P.Duffield,  S.Atley, L.Stevenson, B.Goodes.
Reserves:
(D.Terlich, S.Docherty)

Love this defense. Maybe gilding the lily with Atley as well. Might be robbing you of options elsewhere.

Mid: D.Swan, J.P.Kennedy, T.Cotchin, M.Murphy,B.Moloney, J.O'meara, B.Crouch, K.Mitchell.
Reserves:
(J.Viney,  D.Towers)

I know I know - Ablett - but why not get the best especially if you can double his points? In statistics, one often considers possibilities at the extreme to determine their impasct. Doubling one player's points is optimal if it is the best player. Ablett!

Rucks: S.Jacobs, M. Luenberger
Reserves:
(D.Currie, S.Rowe)

Ideal

Forwards: T.Rockliff, D.Cox, M.Wright,  M.De Boer, A.Christenson, A.Siposs.
Reserves:                          (M.Paporone, B.Maccafer)

Runs deep but quite a few risky picks. Wright is a good POD. The other 3 could all backfire and whilst I understand your reluctance to get Buddy, I think the combination fo Buddy + Varcoe + Byrnes is better than De Boer + Christensen + Siposs ( Total ave of 266 vs 230 and they are cheaper as well - my stats which are obviously biased.)

Thanks for that mate. Nah quite settled now with this team. Yeah I understand not having ablett or franklin could hinder a grey deal but prepared to take the risk mate. Just didn't like the idea of having a carbon copy team like majority of people this year. The only way I believe one can win minus the bye rounds where my team should be all set with upgraded players by then. I just wanted to throw a spanner into the works this year as hopefully my pod that I pick fire up and become keepers if not then they can be fast upgrades as we have alot of trades this year. Thanks mate.

Very unique team haven't seen one like this congrat and I can't fault

Hi fellow supercoach leaguers I've started a supercoach league called my bironas where I select a few individuals via pm who I see are worthy challenges to be in the league and who I think will be serious coaches and not in this for a joke. The supercoach code for entry is 863634. And would like it if you joined.

Kind regards Sean

Can't really add to this, like the team very solid BUT

Wright was tagging Murphy on Saturday, as a result neitehr scored well, and a great reason to have NEITHER in your team.

Not sure Christensen is ready to step up especially with Chapp still there and varcoe and menzel returning....

Siposs i think is also a year early to be getting on but who knows?

Same with Atley but I like him a lot.

as I said otherwise a great team, and they are just my opinions.

good luck for 2013

Vicious Sandwhich Attack

N-Dub,

As luck would happen I joined your league last night.... :)

You have great depth, and a great looking team. It will serve you well early on! The only question I ask is, is there enough opportunity to make money and improve your team as the season goes on?

This team is so different, but at the same time it warrants being looked at and current consensus on strategy being questioned..

Questions being....

No Franklin, Ablett, or Pendles. Or at worst one of these players. From what I see you have spent wisely without these players, but will you be left behind early without them. IMO 2 of Buddy, Ablett, Pendles Swann will be the minimum necessary.

Def: Runs deep, all good picks..
Mid: Murphy; Can he handle a tag this year. Wright tagged him and he struggled. We know what Murphy will eventually achieve but is this the year he does it?
Ruck: Stock!
Fwd: Depth, you have penty of it, but what happens if the Sauce Burger goes down. Whip Cox as we all have planned ICE into the rucks and it starts to look thin.

My only critique. Macaffer is on the bench. Think of the points he will get vs. Christensen and the money involved and with these two players. Would Maccafer be better on the field and the extra money invested into your team for one of Ablett, Pendlebury, Franklin?

Take everyone above me' perspective on this team, and adjust according to your gut feel. It's a great looking team with nice uniques that needs a few tweaks.

9/10

nightwalker_1310au

Thanks mate. Regarding the uniqueness and if I had a strategy played out without having franklin and ablett. Yes I do as I believe worst comes to worst and the unique picks I have picked Ie Christensen, Atley, Moloney, Siposs fail then I could trade them earlier on  after the 3rd round to rectify the problem, however if they work and Moloney ends up playing good and so on then I could tease them later on or keep them, depending on what there scores are they could be a quick cash investment to make more money or it could work. Thanks mate and look forward to playing you in the league this year.

# final update. Taken all considerations and believe I have The best start up for the season. What's everyone else's opinion. Rate or hate. Yes I've gone to Goldstein again in ruck, believe he will have breakout year and taken Siposs out for karnezis cause he played good. Also changed docherty for Armstrong and taken murphy out for swallow as I believe swallow is going to get average of 120+ this year and could mean the difference of a good score or not.

Hey buddy.  I would give it a 7.5/10.  A 9/10 for orignality though.

Few things I dont like:

1. No ablet/swan/franklin - big risk.  I know you went Pendles, but I would rather ablett for set and forget.
2. Strong def:  I think there is prob too much money in defence.  Guy who won last year (powertothepeople) had an average 100,000 per player that was starting in the midfield over defence.  Plus there are some good rooks in def.
3. Leuy - as you probably know I wouldnt want to start this guy.  Will get managed, vested, may not start, late wdr, etc.  Z. Smith could be good, downgrade to a rookie or skim some money from defence to upgrade to a premium
4.  Wright at F3 is probably a bit weak IMO.
5.  Lots of mid-priced players: Atley, armstrong, moloney, leuy, wright (on the fringe), de Boier, christenson, karnezis. 8 is alot.
Maybe 3 max 4 will make a lot of cash.

There are a lot of midprices in your team which is fine if thats the way you want to go, but many are likely not to make you a heap of cash.  I can see you burning trades early either downgrading or upgrading your non-performing midprices.  If that is your strategy its fine.

nightwalker_1310au

Thanks for that mate. Went no ablett and franklin option and believe this will be s strong side. No risk no reward.
